A: The Remote Audio Lav Snake LEMO Adapter is not used for electrical connections. It is used together with the Remote Audio Lav Snake (B&H # RELAVSNAKE), which is a tool to make it easier to feed a lavalier microphone through clothing in order to hide the mic cable. The LEMO Adapter attaches to the connector on the Lav Snake, then the red tip on the Lav Snake slips through clothing to guide the mic cable, then the mic is disconnected from the LEMO Adapter once the mic is in place.

[RJ45 Male] Unscathed after a variety of fielded install/uninstall scenarios that were hostile and abusive to cabling systems. Very durable and reliable. The RJ-45 jacket hoods are larger, as they should be. Regularly used for 1Gb Ethernet and POE use cases. 5

[Gold] I bought this Whirlwind 12 channel snake to run into my new 22 x 10 Drum room recently finished in my home studio. I have not installed it as of yet but after examining the snake and its components I feel that it will be an excellent choice for this application. It will be run thru the wall into a nearby tracking room to be patched into a 16 channel wall box that is attached to my console in the control room. All the components used are very robust and high quality. I am looking forward to many years of trouble free service. FYI I almost chose another brand which was significantly cheaper but after reading the reviews on the cheaper snake, I came to the conclusion it was a piece of junk. Your sound is only as good as your weakest link so why use high dollar microphones only to get subpar transmission thru cheap wire and shielding. Hats off to Whirlwind products.John A. 5

[24 AWG] I had owned a whirlwind for many years and never had a problem with it. It was a 100ft 24 channel snake and became too large for my needs. I sold it and purchased a much cheaper (not whirlwind) 25ft 12 channel snake that lasted a couple of years and then had to have 3 channels repaired over a 6 month period. I had enough of that and purchased this one and I am expecting it to be the dependable snake that I had with it's big brother for so many years. 5
