[41 x 9 x 3"] You know the feeling when you've researched competing products for weeks and you end up in a daze not feeling confident about which one to choose? This was me researching sliders. I finally pulled the trigger on Syrp, which surprisingly doesn't get as much coverage as other products on YT. The Magic Carpet slider, even without the motorized components, is beautiful, weighty, smooth and I can buy extensions later as the need arises. I have the 3-axis motorized modules but most of the time I'm using the slider manually with a fluid head and flywheel activated (the flywheel being hidden underneath is an example of the sleek design). There's no sag when the slider is on tripod legs and I slide a fully rigged camera from end-to-end. Great weight capacity for my needs. Showing up to a shoot with this slider, you feel like a million Hollywood bucks.

[41 x 9 x 3"] This by far is one of the most well made pieces of kit that I've purchased in any area of filmmaking . Very solid and premium build quality combined with extraordinarily smooth manual movement. I know that sliders have kind of been replaced by gimbals in 2024, but if you can find this used I recommend it for any kind of product , timelapse (with the additional motors) or even narrative work if you can use it as a cheap dolly. Hopefully Syrp will release more in this line as I've really enjoyed using the magic carpet pro.

[41 x 9 x 3"] First thing was to assemble both tracks together and test for smooth operation: Perfectly smooth. After repeating this process quite a few times, break down and setup- still perfectly smooth.
The built in flywheel is an excellent touch- and by the touch of a button can be disengaged. Manual operation is very smooth and any unwanted motion dampened by the flywheel.
Automation integration with Syrp Genie II Linear and Pan Tilt is built in- making this a very easy setup for motion control if you also have those units- they just click into the circular quick mount.
The rope ties are great. Also, on both sides are wheels for counterweighting with a small diameter rope, for tilted or vertical operation. Simply hook one end to either side of the carriage, where underneath are two hook mounts, run through the green wheel and tie the other end to enough weight to balance the two- and the Linear motion is not stressed (allowing automation on inclines or vertical)
A lot of thought went into the engineering for the purpose of easy setup and use, along with smooth operation and weight capacity. So far, very impressed.

[3' / 90 cm] Bought this kit separately from the Syrp Genie II 3-Axis Kit. Normally use the 3' rail and great to have the ability to extend to 5'. The flywheel feature is really nice. If you are looking for a solid and smooth slider that looks like it will last a very long time look no further.

[3' / 90 cm] Wanted this for a while and jumped on it when it was in deal zone. I've never been good at getting smooth slides with other systems. The build in flywheel is amazing! Simple push of a button and on the first attempt got my smoothest slide ever.
