The Flex Plus 15" Trapezoidal Teleprompter with Monitorfeatures a 15" 400 cd/m² reversing monitor, 60/40 trapezoidal-shaped beamsplitter glass, and a 17' reading range. The shape of the beamsplitter makes this prompter well suited for studio work as it allows for the text to be read by on-air talent that is not directly in front of the prompter. The teleprompter supports nearly any camcorder, ranging from MiniDV to ENG. It comes with an aluminum extrusion frame which enables mounting the camera on the prompter without requiring counterweights. The 60/40 glass and hood can be folded down for transport and storage. You can mount the camera to the prompter and mount that setup to your tripod in a traditional manner, or with an optional FreeStanding kit you can mount your camera to your tripod and separately mount the prompter to a stand in front of your camera.

Flip-Q Pro software, with a dual screen scrolling engine, reverses the secondary PC or Mac laptop output without reversing the operator's display. This enables the use of less expensive non-reversing VGA displays without sacrificing the functionality or performance. It features an RTF text editor, and allows you to import RTF and TXT files. Additionally, Flip-Q Pro software offers color background, color fonts, preset font size, color, style, black and white fonts, user selectable cue points, run lists, run from selected cursor and selectable cue marker. The software comes on a USB dongle so that it can be used on multiple computers. Just plug the dongle into the computer you want to use at a given time.

The 60/40 beamsplitter glass provides a bright overlay of text that your talent can read from up to 17' away, yet the text is invisible to your camera.

The trapezoidal shape of the glass liberates your on-air talent from needing to be directly in front of the prompter to read the text, making it possible for more than one person to share the prompter (e.g., co-anchors on news broadcasts).

Traditional or freestanding mounting is possible. [100 to 240 VAC] This product was selected after extensive internet research. Living in New Zealand I had no chance to see anything prior to purchase and had to rely on the Internet to sort out something which was good quality and functional. Well, I am an engineer and this product is extremely substantial and has a feel of almost over engineering- very solid very substantial. It appears to be the best value for money out there and I am a very happy bunny! I have had several email chats with the company prior to purchase and they are immediate with their responses and extremely helpful. The software does what it should, is simple and yet powerful. I thoroughly recommend this company and this product. I can see no real advantage in paying more for a teleprompter, as this one does everything you want a teleprompter to do. 5

[26 lb] I wanted recommend this company and their products, to anyone in the market for a reliable prompting system. My company owns three Prompter People systems, a Q-Pro, a Flex Plus, and a set of presidential paddles. Our Q-Pro has been in service since 2007 and we are still using the original monitor. We have never unboxed the backup. The 17 Q-Pro has been all over the world. It is super simple to setup, and can be run in the field from a portable battery pack, all day. Our clients are very demanding and we don't have time to deal with temperamental equipment or software, which is why I recommend this company and their products so highly. The reason I am leaving this review, is that I recently ordered a Flip-Q software dongle to replace one that came apart after 15 years of use. (Ironically, the software still worked, the USB drive just plugged in without its external case.) They immediately sent me a downloadable software license to use while the dongle was in transit and we never had an issue. Everything is well made. We have NEVER had an issue or failure with electronics, or component parts. I rarely leave reviews, but when a company goes above and beyond from a service standpoint, and has a great product (multiple great products), I want to make sure other know about it. 5

[100 to 240 VAC] This prompter was easy to set up and use with my Panasonic HVX-200 and Ipad 2. All I needed was a flathead screwdriver to adjust the mounting plates and balance the rig on my tripod. I used it 2 days in a row. I figure that this prompter minus the ipad paid for itself in 2 days. I use to rent a prompter with an operator for $400-$550 a day. The next step for me is to buy a Thermodyne or Pelican case to store the prompter. It is well worth the money. 5

[26 lb] The flex plus high bright model we got has side inputs in the monitor so attaching the HDMI and SDI cables was easy, not sure how anyone would have issues with this. Love the folding hood and removable back sled. We can swap it from a regular teleprompter to a freestanding teleprompter. For the price it's well worth it, the only complaint I have is the software is a bit dated, but at least the software as included for free. 5

[100 to 240 VAC] For the price this is a great package. It is simple to set up, built to be stable and most importantly, it works. I use it inside for non-profits mostly and beats having adlib remarks. Software loads easily and works well. While it would be nice to have greater flexiblility in crawl speeds the software does allow for recording pauses so that speaker timing works. Would recommend to a friend. 5

[100 to 240 VAC] I'm using this teleprompter in my small home studio. This is the only teleprompter I've ever used so I might be speaking out of ignorance but I can tell you it's awesome. Talk about putting the fun back into long winded spiels. The set-up was about 15 minutes from being in the box to using it. I shoot with an EX1R and the included 'universal sizing' bracket fit great. The iPad app is very intuitive and very reasonably priced. No complaints. I would certainly recommend this product. 5
