[0.99 oz / 28 g] I use this lens for mostly skateboard photog, and I couldnt love it any more! the 180 degree view is perfect for getting those close up angles. But the zoom is pretty pointless. i wouldnt go any above 14mm after you get past that, it loses its fish look

[PLA] Sharp with terrific color. There's some CA evident against bright, light backgrounds but it should be easily handled in PS. DPP doesn't recognize it so it can't be used for CA removal or de-fishing. Overall, very happy with the purchase.

[0.99 oz / 28 g] I recently got my first dSLR, the Canon Rebel XSi, and I've always been a fan of fisheye photography. I know when it's overused, as with anything, it can become dull, but when kept in moderation, one can attain some really interesting shots. I played around with Canon's 15mm Fisheye, but that's designed for full-frame sensors, so I'd get a slight fisheye effect while using it on my XSi. Although the images were nice and the f/2.8 definitely gives it an edge, it wasn't for me. I was eyeing the Sigma 10mm DC designed for crop-sensor cameras, and was certain I'd be purchasing that one, but then I saw this Tokina 10-17mm lens. Not only was it cheaper, but it gives me the flexibility of having the 10mm extreme fisheye effect, or narrow it to 17mm to obtain just a fairly wide angle shot, while reducing the overall fisheye effect. This allows for more versatility and I've been very happy with my purchase. If/when I ever jump to a full-frame sensor, I'll most likely purchase Canon's 15mm Fisheye. Until then, this is an excellent lens. The only negative, if you can even call it that, is the lens cover is slightly difficult to get on and off.

[PLA] I needed something to motivate me out of the doldrums of my standard lenses. This lens did it. It put the FUN back into photography. Because it has such a wide angle and can capture some much light I had to re-learn all my settings. Liked it so much I order another circular fish eye lens.

[PLA] I can shoot a detailed 360 degree Pano (VR) with only 7 shots (6 horizontal & 1 Zenith) using my older model Nodal Ninja mount. The camera/lens combo fits the Nodal Ninja perfectly. Having the zoom capability allows for wide angle shots that extend below the limits of my 17-50mm standard zoom lens. With the D300's in-camera handling of CA; I have not needed to make any post processing adjustments to the raw or jpeg images. Great value
