Its relatively fast f/2.8 maximum aperture suits working in difficult lighting conditions, and its optical design incorporates three aspherical and two low dispersion elements to help reduce distortion and color fringing for improved clarity and sharpness. An Ultra Multi-Coating has also been applied, as well as an integrated lens hood, to suppress flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color accuracy when working in strong lighting conditions. Super wide-angle prime is designed for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, however can also be used with APS-C models where it provides a 21mm equivalent focal length.

Three aspherical elements are incorporated in the optical design to control spherical aberrations for increased clarity and resolution from edge to edge.

Two extra-low dispersion glass elements work to reduce chromatic aberrations; improve overall image sharpness, clarity, and color fidelity; and help to minimize the overall weight of the lens.

An Ultra Multi-Coating has been applied to individual elements in order to reduce flare and ghosting for increased contrast and a neutral color balance.

The integrated autofocus motor provides quick, accurate, and precise AF control. Manual focus override is also available for refining your focus position.

Rounded seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a smooth and pleasing bokeh quality.

Q: 9. Using this lens on my a7iii. The autofocus works fine in photo mode. However in AF-C mode while shooting video, the lens will not continuously auto focus. Is that how it is supposed to be, or did I get a bad unit?

A: Sorry i didn't finish my answer before. I would check settings on Camera such as putting focus area on wide. Also check and see if Center Lock Auto Focus is on/off. I usually turn mine off unless i need to lock on to object.

[1.48 lb] Typically I don't review the many things I've bought from B&H, believing that so many folks buy the same things that my nickel's worth wouldn't be that useful. However, this lens is likely not quite so common. I initially bought a cheaper 14 mm f 2.8 and found it badly wanting in sharpness. B&H allowed me to return it and issued a prompt refund { one big Atta Boy, B&H }. I bought this Rokinon and am very glad I did - it is incredibly sharp, has a good build and feel - AND has a well-functioning Auto Focus - seldom seen in other lenses with these specs. When I first opened the box I put it on my Canon 5D Mk IV, aimed far down the street to take some sample, random photos, and every feature on every house far down the block came in crystal clear and sharp. I'm a 'happy guy'. Nice lens, for sure. 5

[f/2.8] I use this for real estate. It’s resolution is amazing and is wide enough to capture almost any room. It does have lens distortion around the edges, but nothing that can’t be cleaned up in LightRoom. 5

[Sony E] 14mm is a bit too wide, but with Sony a7III allowed you to zoom in x2 and x3 it's very convenient. image is very crisp. Distortion is acceptable. 5

[Autofocus] I've used a few manual focus wide lenses on the FE mount but wanted to get something faster that could also autofocus. The focus speed is nice and image sharpness is good, especially when stopped down a bit. Some warping at the edges but pretty similar to the other FE wide lenses I've used. Really happy with the performance at this price point. 5

[Sony E] I was intended to get the Zeiss one at the beginning. I watched some videos on Youtube says this one is good for its price. And �B&H has an insane discount on this. So I get it. it is a perfect lens. shot a very shape image. focus�speed meets my need. 5

[Autofocus] It works well, really like the extra wide angle I get from my 14mm. I have a Sony a9 and Sony A7rIII. It allows me, for a very reasonable price, to have one of my cameras as a fixed wide angle and the other flexible, with the 17-28mm f/2.8. 5

[f/2.8] All three Lens are amazing. For stills the quality is there however for video like many of the reviews you see on youtube you can hear the af engine. the 14 and 35 is barely noticeable but for the 50mm its pretty loud. Hopefully Rokinon releases the USB lens station soon so we can upgrade the firmware on it. 5

[Full-Frame] This lens is everything that it claims to be. It works on both full frame (A7) and crop sensor(a6000). It is Sharpe and fast. 5

[113.9°] Good lens, it's heavy so my a6300 tips forward when I use this even with a battery grip but it doesn't really matter since I use a gorilla pod to vlog. Hope you're ready for some strong forearm progress after. Anyway, I record my workouts in my home gym and I needed a wide angle, this lens was the jackpot. 14mm captured the whole room, lens is sharp & auto focus helps a lot since I'm moving around a lot. Totally recommend this lens, the only con I have is the weight of it. It's a beast. 5
