StreetPan 400 Black and White Film 120 Rollis a high-speed panchromatic black and white negative film featuring a nominal sensitivity of ISO 400/27° and a fine grain structure. Using a unique two-layer emulsion, this film is ideal for working in low-light situations and also retains a low grain profile that makes it especially well-suited to scanning. Also distinct, this film has spectral sensitivity to 750nm, which helps to cut through atmospheric haze and fog for greater clarity and contrast. This extended red sensitivity also benefits working in lower light conditions, such as during dawn and dusk, and its wide exposure latitude allows you to rate the film between EI 200-500 for acceptable results. It has low base fog levels when processed at high temperatures, making it suitable for high volume processing, and the emulsion is coated on a 100ÿµm-thick transparent polyester base. Additionally, base substrate layers offer permanent anti-static qualities and a gelatin coating has also been applied to the back layer to resist scratching.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I'm developing this film in my darkroom. Usually I use T-max developer. What are you using to develop this film and any info on time and concentrate?

A: Per instructions inside box, I use D-76 developer at 1+1 dilution, 10:50 seconds development time. Great results with this film every time.

Q: 2. What developer might produce the least bromide drag using a steel reel in a steel tank?

A: I would consider using Photographers' Formulary Pyrocat HD Film Developer (Dry) - Makes 10 Liters BH #PHPHDFD10L • MFR #01-5080 for this film. But for your bromide drag issue I would not use the stick agitation but rather inversion agitation to help with this issue so you get the chemistry moving well and it does not sit in one place too long causing the bromide build up in areas.

Q: 3. How many exposures per roll?

A: Depending on which Holga you have, on 120 film you get twelve 6x6 images per roll or sixteen 6x4.5 images per roll.

Q: 4. how many exposures??

A: It would be dependent on the camera, though 120 film, like the Arista EDU Ultra 400 Black and White Negative Film (120 Roll Film), may have up to 10-16 exposures.

Q: 5. What is the exposure latitude for Delta 400?

A: Slim. Not the most forgiving film. Meter like crazy.

Q: 6. What precautions if any I have to take before loading the IR film in the camera and also before I develop?

A: I would recommend loading it in a changing bag/tent if you are shooting 120. Many Rollei films are on a clear polyester base that has shown itself to behave like a light pipe and produce images that look like they were taken in a leaky camera. In fact, I would not open the mylar package the film comes in (inside the box) outside of the tent. I don't know if this IR film is on that clear base or not, but IR film and 120 spools are not a good combo, so I still recommend loading it in the darkest environment you can find.

Q: 7. i have 100 & 400 film stored in freezer the dates are 2011 is the film still good?

A: Yes, but make sure you let the film come to room temperature before breaking the seal on the wrapper or else you will end up with condensation on the film. -Ty

Q: 8. I have a canon camera 35mm eos rebel. will this film fit my camera?

A: This film is for medium format cameras and will not fit in a 35mm SLR. You will instead need Ilford HP5 Plus 135-24 Black & White Negative Film: http://bhpho.to/1lqyuK7

Q: 9. How many exposures does this film have?

A: The amount of exposures on this Ilford Delta 400 120 film depends on the medium format camera it is used with. For example, using this on a Hasselblad 501CM which shoots in 6 x 6 cm format, you can get 12 exposures from this roll.

Q: 10. can clayton f76 film developer work with this film?

A: The manufacturer says f76 is for all black and white films, so I don't see why not. Personally, I use Caffenol.

[400] This is a great budget film for medium format film cameras. Sharp and not too much grain. Definitely pick up a roll and try it yourself. You wont be disappointed.

[400] Can be easily pushed to 1600 and even 3200 if you're feeling lucky.

[1] Kentmere Pan is back in 120! This is a great film for anyone who wants to keep costs low and still get great results. It is great at box speed and I like pushing this to ISO 800 too.

[400] Its not as good as tmax but its also half the price so this stuff stays stocked up in my fridge. Pushing to 800 works okay but leave off the yellow filter or else you will get too much contrast.

[100.0 µm] I really like this film for it's edgy look.
If you use it for portraits, it requires really good light on faces; otherwise you may not be happy with the results.
For cities with good contrast, the results are delightful.
It's too expensive

[Polyester] I love this film. When I heard is was available in 120 I had to get a few rolls. It was backordered for quite awhile but was well worth the wait. The 400 pan has a very nice grain structure and is an excellent film for regular use. It also has a good DMax/Dmin and is pretty good at handeling a 1 or 2 stop push.
B&H shipped my order immedietly upon getting new stock in. Always love shopping B&H
