Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this fit a Canon 5D Mark III with a 400mm f2.8 lens attached?

A: Julia, I too have a Canon EOS 5D Mark III. I do not have a 400mm f2.8 lens. However, the RainCoat Rain Sleeve will fit my Mark III with my Sigma 150-600mm 1:5-6.3, zoomed out to 600mm, with room left over.

Q: 2. Can use it with canon 1dx and 70-200 lens ?

A: Hello Caroline,I have not opened the box as I use Aqua Tech rain covers and bought these light weight covers to quickly put them on to avoid champgne damage for celebrations. But I am fairly sure the Lg is for a 300 2.8 or similar. The Med would fit your 70-200. Beware these are not full coverage for your body like Aqua Tech and using them in rain where you have your camera on your shoulder it does not offer much protection. Hope this is helpful. Q: 3. Will this fit a Fuji 100-400 lens at full extension?

A: Yes, it will fit.

Q: 4. I'm looking for a raincoat for an Fujifilm XT-20, and this is the smallest size I could find. Is it still too big? I can see it maybe working with the 55-200mm lens, but what about the 18-55 and 35 (f/2)? Does anyone know of a more adequate alternative? Thanks.

A: This would be your best option to go with for the X-T20.

Q: 5. Will this fit a Nikon 200-500 at full extension?

A: Yes, it's OK for my NIKON D750 and lens Nikon 200-500.Always in my bag.

Q: 6. Which size would work best for the Sony a6700 plus the Sony 70-350mm lens?

A: The LensCoat RainCoat Small Sleeve (Black) is the correct size for the Sony a6700 Mirrorless Camera with the Sony E 70-350mm f/4.5-6.3 G OSS Lens attached.

Q: 7. So you can really get your left hand in this to zoom while shooting?

A: The bottom of this sleeve is held together with Velcro. You can open it up in a light drizzle to get your hand inside. I have a 150-600mm zoom which I'll zoom to 600mm before I put the rain sleeve on the lens. This lens will be on a tripod while I wait for a moose to wade into the far end of a pond. This can take hours to happen. The rear of the sleeve can be cinched around the eyepiece or left open to access camera controls and LCD screen. Use a lens hood and UV filter to help protect the front element. Close everything up in a downpour and take advantage of the generous fit to zoom the lens through the fabric in small increments. I'll personally simply wait out a downpour while my equipment is protected. Then when it lets up, I'll be ready to shoot again instead of having to break everything out of my backpack and set it up all over again.

Q: 8. Wondering if this size is overkill for use with a Nikon 24-70mm 2.8? It will be fine for my 70-200mm 2.8, but I want to just try one size for (hopefully) both lenses.

A: The Medium is longer than necessary for the 24-70mm lens. But if you want one cover for both your lenses, the Medium size is definitely usable.

Q: 9. My D5300 with 70-300mm lens is just over a foot long with the lens hood when fully zoomed, would this work well or should I get the medium size?

A: I bought the small Raincoat for a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera, so even though I used the Raincoat with my long zoom lens, my whole set-up is much smaller than yours. Therefore, I have no idea which size Raincoat you should get, but when I bought mine, I called and spoke to a B&H employee to ascertain the correct size to get. I had measured my set-up, from the back of my camera to the tip of my lens w/ hood. With that info he was able to give me pretty accurate advice. Hope this helps. It's a good product.

Q: 10. the guy in the video acted like he was using the viewfinder, but you can't see out of the viewfinder lol. Right?

A: Yes, it is possible to use the viewfinder or LCD screen when using the LensCoat RainCoat Small Sleeve. The last few images on LensCoat's website for this item shows the rear view of the item, both open, exposing the full rear of the camera, and closed, only exposing the camera's eyepiece. The back may be used either open or closed.
