[0.5 lb] The Life Saver sand bag is exactly what was needed to place over the base of our outdoor directional sign. Heavy enough to keep the sign from being blown or knocked over by people walking by (we filled it w/sand). And because it surrounds the base of our sign, the Life Saver has made the sign and the sand bag itself theft proof. Everyone at the Hotel has commented how practical the product is.

[0.5 lb / 0.2 kg] I use these to replace the Photoflex water bag I use to have. I shoot a lot on the beach, and travel international. Impossible to carry weight bags along! So theses are perfect, I always find water wherever I go! I use them on light stands and also on a Kessler crane (to replace the gym weights) when I shoot video with DSLR's. Looks like they are built solid (the plastic is thick) and they are basically perfect for travel.

[0.5 lb] This purchase was for assembly of improvised lens support rig for Sony 70-300. Could not find off-brand mfr, so I looked for something else. Used various parts from various manufactures to make a smallest, lightest, cheapest 15mm rail system I could find. Result was under 1lb, under $100 rig. I do not do video, so it may look like an overkill. But it does not weigh much, takes no space in a bag. As for Fotodiox part, it is small, lightweight, well built, does the job well. I had to stack up two clamps on the camera plate because even at lowest position, the cradle was too high for this rig. No fault of Fotodiox.

[0.5 lb / 0.2 kg] Well made and works well. My only complaint is that it doesn't raise up high enough for smaller lenses. For the big fat heavy lenses, though, it's perfect!

[7 x 6.1 x 3.25"] I have purchased the Life Saver Bag hoping to lighten my load when I traveled to a location for a shoot. I was going to return it thinking it wasn't going to work well. I am so glad that I kept it. You can use water or sand to fill up the Life Saver. I have chose to use water. I would fill up the life saver at the location and dump the water out afterwards making it easier for me to move it around. If there is no running water at the location, I will fill the Life Saver with water before leaving and put it in to a small plastic box just incase it does decide to leak and then I dump the water out afterwards. So far I had this Life Saver for about a year and have not had it leak on me yet. I use the bag to stabilize my c-stand for my wireless strobe. Couldn't be happier.

[7 x 6.1 x 3.25"] I used water to fill and it was still way heavier than any saddlebag style counter weight. Water filling is a little cumbersome (the surrounding area WILL get wet, but water makes ot much easier to empty out on teardown for transport and storage. Appears to be sturdily made from heavy plastic.

[0.5 lb] This life saver bag did just that. It was a life saver. Didn't have money for a new mic so I had to protect my current one. With boom mic stands that constantly tip over (and I've caught it every time) I needed something to weigh it down so I didn't have to worry about it falling over. I got some sand at Wal-mart for about 4 dollars and then filled the Life Saver Sand Bag. THAT took a very long time. But once it was in, I was set. And I love this bag. Its nice and heavy and I never have to worry about the stand falling over. Its not going ANYWHERE.
