Add 24TB of USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 storage to your compatible Windows or Mac system with the OWC Mercury Elite Pro Quad 24TB USB-C RAID Arrayfrom OWC / Other World Computing. This array is preconfigured as RAID 5 via included SoftRAID software. 24TB also provides you with plenty of space to store files such as music, photos, movies, and documents. This array provides transfer speeds up to 947 MB/s.

Within the array are four SATA III drive bays that can each house a single 3.5 or 2.5" drive using the included drive brackets. Each drive bay has a 6TB 7200 rpm SATA III 3.5" hard drive. The array is software-configured as RAID 5, which provides a good balance of performance and redundancy. It can be configured as RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 4, and 5, each of which provides performance, data redundancy, or both.

This volume will be recognized on systems running macOS 10.6 and later as well as Windows 7 and later. Connectivity to your host system is achieved using an integrated 10 Gb/s USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, and both USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cables are included to help ensure compatibility with modern and legacy systems. To help ensure a smooth operating environment, the array is built using heat-dissipating aluminum, uses a cooling fan, and its included 100-240 VAC power supply runs at 50/60 Hz to help ensure worldwide compatibility. Also included is a power cable and two front panel keys.

[Aluminum] Great price point for this amount of storage. As others have said, it can be a bit loud but I'm not utilizing this for any post-processing power so it isn't a constant annoyance at my side. It's for archiving more than anything and I'm using all of the smaller SSDs that have piled up for post work. 5

[24 TB] I bought it thinking it was a RAID, but turn out it is only a Disk array. However, the build quality is good, transfer speed is fast and I put in 4 10T harddisk into it for my videos files. 5

[16.945 lb] I bought two of these to replace Drobos that we had been using for our photo storage. I've been very pleased with the experience. The OWC units are solidly built, and installing four 4TB Seagate IronWolf drives was easy. I also bought the OWC SoftRaid software, which made it very simple to set them up as Raid 5 DAS units with a capacity of 12TB each. They've been running for a month now with no issues. My only nitpick is that the AC cord and USB cables are rather short. I had to buy a six-foot USB C to USB C cable to accommodate where I wanted to place the units. 5

[16.945 lb] Great, solid and heavy build. Have to be careful if moving things around to not break the little USB-C off. Almost missed the thin plastic covers in front of the drive slots. Easy to get to the fan, it's got plenty of space for a thick one, 3 pin connector and it's basically never going fast with helium drives that aren't being run at max speeds. Great to have an option that doesn't have hardware raid, you get more solid construction in its place. ZFS setup with caching of metadata on an SSD for fast directory listings and file size counts. Can't see it in the photos, 2.5 inch drives are mounted through the bottom and there's a cross beam in the middle of the brackets. S.M.A.R.T. data shows up fine. 5
