A: Sorry you can't use any filters with the Night Owl Optics iGen 20/20.

Q: 2. if it has sd card can it take pictures

A: Not this version. There is a more expensive version with SD card socket that can take photos and vga video. You need to use an RCA cable to transfer image into a capturing device if you buy this version.

Q: 4. Is there an online software that I may be able to connect via IP from outside the network to control the cameras?

A: While does offer software to control this camera, we are not aware of it being operable from outside of the network the cameras are installed within.

Q: 5. Can this camera be controlled Via RS-422 using the older Sony RM-BR300 remote control unit?

A: Hi Kevin, Yes The BRC-X1000/1 does support the VISCA RS-422 protocal BUT connection is through an RJ-45 jack. The RM-BR300 comes with a 9-pin phoenix connector but you will have to make your own cables (page 12 & 22 of the operation manual: https://pro.sony/s3/cms-static-content/operation-manual/3854213171.pdf). -Jen

Q: 6. Does it work with RCP 1000?

Q: 7. I need an adapter or a step down ring to attach IGen to Celestron T-Mount Adapter. Could you recommend an adapter please?

A: Unfortunately I cannot. The Night Owl #NOIGM3X cannot be used to take photos with a camera. It has a video out connector that you can use to shoot videos with. The Night Owl #NOIGM3X-IC is the ONLY night vision device with Picture-Taking Capability.

A: You connect power sources to your network such as these: https://bhpho.to/2rP4iy7

Q: 9. Does HDMI output 4K? i can see it have 3G-SDI only. but nothing mentioned on 4k output. want to use it with 4K switcher. Thank you

A: This camera will output 4K through its HDMI output. You can also use the two 3G-SDI outputs to create a Dual Link SDI for 4K as well, which tends to be a connection found on captured devices more so than switchers. If you have a Switcher with SDI inputs for 4K the Blackmagic Design HDMI to SDI 6G Mini Converter, B&H # BLCOMBHS24K6, is a good option to bring the signal in. https://bhpho.to/2EOui4q

Q: 10. does this camera require shielded CAT6 or higher?

A: You will need to use Cat 5e or higher rated cables. Using Shielded cable will be a good idea for installation purposes, but not necessary.

[3 lb / 1.3 kg] The day was clear and warm, and the tombstones in the cemetery were nothing special, sitting in the shade of the oak tree. But screwing on the filter of the Tiffen Cool Day for Night filter made all the difference. Not at first, of course... it seemed to be just a shade of lavender/blue through the viewfinder. But once I downloaded the picture, the dramatic shadows and the film noir quality of the blueing told me I had something special to work with. I dropped the brightness and kicked up the contrast... that's all. My first shot looked like I had been doing it for years. I repeated the action and I knew it was going to be one of my favorite filters in the bag. Yes... it's far from cheap, but it's by Tiffen. You know their quality. And it's WORTH IT.

[30°] This made my job of figuring out the lighting for a night scene I was shooting so much easier than when I was trying to hide the light kit. Just don’t forget to properly white balance BEFORE you put the filter on (it you’re not using presets)
