The Novoflex Q=Plate series Novoflex Q-Base Quick Release Plate 1.7"square quick release plate fits any Arca-type quick release system (except the Arca Swiss Flip-Lock). It features a 1/4"-20 camera screw, on a 1.65" square plate that can slip in from any direction.

The bottom edges are dovetailed for smoother loading and unloading from the clamp, as well as less abrasions. The screws of the Novoflex plates work with both traditional flathead screwdrivers as well as 5/32" Allen wrenches.

A: No, the Novoflex Q-Base II Arca-Type Compatible Quick Release Clamp does not include a quick release plate with its purchase. You would need to purchase a separate Arca-type quick release plate as a separate optional accessory. Q: 9. How much height does this system add to a tripod and video head? I need to insure my tripod/video head will still fit inside its travel case.

A: The base with the quick release plate included will add 1" in height to the tripods head.

[0.105 lb] This is a high quality QR plate. I bought it exclusively for Novoflex macro focusing rail. It may not be necessary as Arca Swiss is supposedly a universal specification. I didn't want to take chances. This fits perfectly. Excellent machining. For me a small price to pay for peace of mind. 5

[1x 1/4"-20] I use this on the foot of my Rollei Schneider AFD-Variogon 60-140mm f/4.6 PQS medium format lens. The Schneider has a pre-tapped screw arrangement on the lens foot that was difficult to mate with a plate. The problem is that the 1/4-20 hole is too close to the 3/8-16 hole. I wanted to secure both to keep the plate from rotating. But the pan heads of any of the standard camera screws I had would overlap, so I had to rethread a smaller screw that I found. Anyhow this plate only includes the 1/4 screw, but it was my best option to add a quick release plate with my Schneider Variogon and also 300mm. 5

[1x 1/4"-20] The Seastars quick release system from iFootage is a phenomenal product that I can't say enough about. Rugged, sturdy, well built, and it definitely facilitates the joining/un-joining of your various pieces of camera gear. I use it on my stabilizing gimbal and stabilizing vest. Highly recommended! 5

[1x 1/4"-20] I am using this for the Hasselblad X1D ii with a 120mm lens in portrait mode. So having it sideways on the tripod, the little stubby legs prevent the camera from dropping the lens side down and basically unscrewing itself from the QR plate. A little pricy but robust build. A side note* mind did NOT come with the extra white washer tab as seen in the picture to hold the larger screw. 5

[1x 1/4"-20] Shopped around online and found B&H still cheaper by a full $15 over UK suppliers, even after mailing and taxes to the UK. Arrived by post within two weeks - Great! 5

[0.105 lb] This is the only plate I could find which mounts on the Nikon 500mm f8 reflex lens and does not interfer with the camera body and battery pack. This allows me to attach the lens to the Wimberly gimbal head instead of using the plate on the camera body for mounting. The plate attaches securely to the lens foot and does not rotate when the camera body is in portrait mode though to be fair you can just rotate the lens collar for portrait mode or leveling the lens. 5
