[Luster] This canvas is wonderful! Works perfect with my photography

[1x Paper Roll] If you have images with earth tones or a little yellow or gold, you should try this Hahnemuhle Metallic Canvas to let those colors present themselves differently from "plain" canvas. I started making "Digital Paintings in 1998 and was introduced to a glossy finished canvas by a local printer. He was good enough to give me pointers on making my own prints and I quickly realized that the image media is very important. I exhibit my work 3 or 4 times per year, and I strive to produce photography that mimics paintings while a colleague of mine makes paintings that mimic photography! As a painter, it seams you might have more latitude to make your image present the way you want, but as a photographer, it is more difficult. Being able to print my Digital Paintings on canvas is wonderful, but using this special metallic canvas gives my artwork a look and feel of something definitely not photographic.

[1x Paper Roll] Canvas has a slight metallic sheen that is more visible in lighter areas. Side by side comparison with Epson's exhibition canvas gloss, it is slightly more reflective.By reflective I mean it displays that metallic sheen. Weight is much less making it a bit more prone to tearing while stretching if not careful. I had to grind the corner off my pliers to lessen this potential. The real redeeming quality for me is the tough as nails finish. No liquid laminate required. It has rich color and a beautiful, uniform finish on a stretched frame, especially without a laminate applied. My first 10' test roll had roll marks every 8 on the last 4 feet of canvas making that portion useless. Still printing on the first 39' roll. Hopefully that problem will not be present. I like this canvas and will buy more. The price is high but not having to laminate makes it very attractive.

[18.57 lb] The Gloss on this canvas makes it look outstanding & it is easy to bend compared to metallic/glossy type canvas. Highly recommended!
