With a 100% cotton rag base made from a hot press mould, this 50-sheet pack of 11 x 17" Premier Imaging Smooth Fine Art Bright White Paper 270gsmfrom Premier Imaging Smooth Fine Art Bright White Paper 270gsmoffers photographers and artists a smooth matte surface with a high resolution coating that provides a high D-max and wide color gamut. The 270 gsm paper is naturally white with no optical brightening agents, is acid- and lignin-free in its construction, and is alkaline buffered to increase longevity. Also, it has a thickness of 15 mil and is single-sided. Finally, the medium dries nearly instantly and is water-resistant.

[Matte] I am surprised that there is no review here of Canon's Premium Fine Art Smooth paper. I've tried a number of quality matte and fine art papers. This has become my go-to fine art paper. Printing with the Pixma Pro-10, this paper produces great black and white photographs. The prints not only look good to the eye, but they feel substantive in hand. 5

[Cotton Rag] Premier Imaging Smooth Fine Art Bright White Paper seems to bring out better detail in the darkest and lightest areas of my fine art prints - highly recommended. 5

[270 gsm] I printed two digital paintings. The client chose the one printed on this paper because it has the subtle look of a painted canvas. Very nice. 5

[4.605 lb] Canon did/does not provide a profile for this paper on the Pro 100. My first test print was very dark. Since my prints using other paper for which I had a profile were not off-color, I went on a search for the proper profile. After a few days of people insisting that it was monitor calibration, not ICC profile, someone mentioned that Hahnemühle supplied a lot of Canon-lable paper. I found the profile in their archive. After installing it, everything is right with the world. The prints are beautiful,and they are dry when they come off the printer. Paper 5 stars; Canon 2. 5

[Matte] This was one of the free packages of 17x22 paper that came with my new Canon Pro1000 printer. Prior to that I never had use for paper of this size but as I used it for a new black and white series I was convinced. The paper has a lovely smooth finish but not matte. I now use this paper on a regular basis for many of my prints 5

[Matte] I have used paper of this kind before from B&H, and the paper worked beautifully. I just used a Canon ink jet printer, and the printer was not expensive. The art paper worked perfectly. I,m sure this paper will work fine. 5
