Q: 1. Am considering this bag for wildlife photography. Are the flaps held down by Velcro? Like the look of the product, but am concerned about noise.

A: Yes. The flaps are held down with velcro and they open loudly. When I shoot wedding ceremonies, I keep the flaps open by folding them back and tucking them in between the pocket and my body. This works for eliminating the noise but opens up the lenses to the elements if you're outside.

Q: 2. Is this modular? Can I remove some of the pouches and keep just two pouches with the harness and belt? Thanks

A: The Newswear Men's Documentary Chestvest is not modular; you can't remove some of the pockets.

[Handheld Only] Love this pouch, great quality velcro and fabric. I have a Newswear press pouch waist belt that I attach this pouch to, which I normally sport as a sling for my X100V, phone, wallet, and maybe an extra battery. I have plans to acquire more pouches for other accessories in the future! This isn't my first Newswear product and it won't be my last. They are one of my favourite producers of high-quality photo goods. Nothing but good things to say. 5

[Handheld Only] This product is great as both a waist and sling pouch; I use it primarily for small point-and-shoot film cameras, or a Fujifilm X100V which I will say fits perfectly (Fits snugly with a Sqaurehood lens hood). The external flap pocket is great for a phone (a bit snug), a wallet, an extra battery, or misc. small accessory. This pouch can definitely fit more than it is advertised to fit. Quality is always great from Newswear. 5
