The Serial to IP Converter for Legacy Autoscript Controllersincludes a cable with DB-9 and DB-25 connector and a converter box, which enable attaching your legacy controller to a WinPlus-IP system. The box converts the serial signals to IP signals, which allows you to use your existing controller and not source a new one. It works with a variety of Autoscript serial controllers, including the HC-1, SCB, MFC-PKG, MFC, WSC-A, WSC-REC-A, and WFC-PKG-US.

A: We recommend the Sony B&H # SORMIP10 controller for the Sony SRG360SHE. However, while the AVMATRIX Professional IP & Serial PTZ Camera Joystick Controller should work, there will be no support from Sony or Avmatrix if you run into setup issues.

A: You will need a network switch to be the link that brings the controller and camera together, when using the AIDA Imaging VISCA Serial & IP PTZ Camera Controller.

A: The Autoscript Newsroom Licence For WinPlus-IP Studio Prompting Software Application does not enable output via HDMI, only via VGA or IP.

Q: 8. Just bought 3104se for av-1081. IF i buy a 1281 can I use both 10&12-81 on the 3104. 1281 has in&out?

A: Yes, the AViPAS 4D Serial Joystick Controller (No IP Function) would allow you to daisy chain from the 1281 ( Dual port) to your 1081 ( Single port) camera.

[DB-9 DB-25] Purchased one of these for use with 4 Marshall CV605BK PTZ cams. They connected right away over ONVIF and also VISCA IP. It has most of the basic functions. Construction is all-metal and buttons, knobs, rocker, joystick all feel robust. The joystick is slow and smooth enough for on-camera moves, but the zoom (likely a camera limitation) so far has been on the fast side. It's also great having focus, color, iris buttons at your fingertips. Only gripe is that the Marshall camera's on screen menu is not working to select menu items. But I may not be doing something right. You can always use the camera's web interface or IR remote for detailed configuration. It also can't seem to connect to Panasonic PTZ cameras like the UE150, which isn't a huge deal for me since we use the RP150 for those. I was hoping that I could have several of these on a gig for quick adjustments to those cameras. Again, not a deal breaker. Anyway, we liked it so much that I bought a second one. Might pick up a few more. 5

[DB-9 DB-25] We have 2 TVs in a High School that we use for digital signage. We had used other vga over ethernet adapters but we ran into picture quality issues. Using these with an additional receiver we were able to hook these up to our network switch and had no issues. Picture and audio quality is perfect. Since we use managed network switches we created its own VLAN for 3 ports so other network traffic was not effected. If you don't use managed switches buy a cheap $40 5 port switch and it's a plug and play installation. I like the suggestion from another reviewer about having these devices having the option for power over ethernet. Anything that doesn't require a separate power adapter is handy. 5

[1 lb / 0.45 kg] Easy to set up. Been in a harsh environment for several years. Survived several power outages and recovers on it's own (no, we aren't using the redundant power as in our situation, if the power goes so does the source system - but that's a cool feature!) The Drivers are installed on a Virtual Server hosting virtual UNIX servers that actually use the data. 5

[DB-9 DB-25] We have used this in our auditorium for almost a year over approximately an 150’ run for still images and 1080p video. Never had a drop out even during hour long video presentations and Set-Up was super easy. Going to get a second for a lobby monitor. 5

Both run 1080p with varying lengths of cable (50-125’). All devices have worked flawlessly since install. 2 years and one year respectively. 5
