The Savage Modmaster Multi-Fabric Octagonal Softbox 35"from Savage Modmaster Multi-Fabric Octagonal Softbox 35"is a convenient light shaper for image makers who want a soft quality of light with contrast and color tint options. The softbox has all of the advantages of the octagonal form factor - a wrap-around light quality, large surface area for adequate coverage, and natural-looking catchlights in the eyes of your subject.

But the versatile modifier has yet another valuable feature. Savage provides a reflective, reversible, insert that's quick and easy to install. One side is silver for a punchy, contrasty, quality and color at the cool end of the spectrum. The gold side lends a warm, late afternoon hue that evokes a classic, personal feeling and is very kind to skin tones. You can also use either side without the removable front diffuser as you would a large reflector.

As an added bonus, a fabric grid is included to contain spill light and narrow the softbox's beam spread to allow selective lighting of your subject. The Modmaster has a Bowens adapter for heads that use this popular front accessory mount, but adapters for other lights are available as an option. It all fits in the furnished carry bag.

A: Hi Lou! The included Speedlight adapter is adjustable so you should have no problem mounting your speedlight.

A: The holder has 5 cold shoe mounts which surround the ring that accept a shoe mount flash on each. This method of mounting is only recommended for use with an umbrella. It cannot work in conjunction with the included softbox.

Q: 3. Does this fit Aputure Light Storm lights such as the 300dii and 120dii?

A: Yes it includes a Bowens speed ring that you will need.

Q: 4. How many speedlights can be used in conjunction with the included softbox?

A: This box can support 1 Speedlight.

A: The Angler FB-G24 Fabric Grid for FastBox FB-24K Octagonal Softbox (24") will NOT fit on Profoto Clic Softbox Octa (2').

A: A speed ring is required to use this box, but not included because there are a number of different standards for mounting speed rings. A: Hi Mark! The softbox is already equipped with a Bowens mount & a Speedlight adapter with handle.

Q: 8. how do disassemble it ? i cant pull the rods out

A: Removing the first rod is the tough part, lay the box face down, open the flaps, then reach down a few inches on the first rod to be removed & pull it as you push down & back on the ring, using the flexibility of the rods to flatten the ring & pull out the 1st rod. Then go to it's opposite & remove it...

Q: 9. Will this work with Nanlite evoke 1200d ?

A: the heat from the 1200 might be too much for this box, (1200 light puts out a lot of heat )

Q: 10. Is there an egg rate grid available for this?

A: There are no egg crates designed specifically for use with the Norman 60 Octagonal Softbox. It is possible that the Impact Fabric Grid for Medium Octagonal Luxbanx (60 ), B&H # IMLBGOM, or the FotodioX Pro Eggcrate Grid (60 ), B&H # FOEGG60OCTEZ, may work for your usage needs. However, as the Norman 60 Octagonal Softbox is a special order item, we have no way to test the above. However, if you wish to purchase either of the egg crates, they are both returnable if they do not work for your usage needs. You would have 30 days from the purchase date to return the item for an exchange or refund if it does not work for your usage needs.

[Yes] I have had this softbox for over a month now. I am very pleased with it. This was the first softbox I'd bought myself - everything else I've ever had was inherited from other photographers. Came with the grid. Great white light. I've struggled in the past due to my other lights being too warm for my liking. This paired with my newer lights is great. Definitely recommend. 5

[Yes (Included)] I ordered this so that I can use my speed-lights off camera for head shots. When I received it I was thrilled to find out that it can also be used with my Litepanels Caliber lights. I had been wanting a soft box that would handle these small lights also. This did the trick. Two solutions in one. A very useful addition to both my still and video kits. [6.125 lb] I would buy this softbox again. Setup is very fast with the umbrella frame that is attached. You only need to tighten a thumb screw. The light is nice and soft and wraps around the subject. I have 2 other Norman softboxes and this has taken over as the main portrait light source. 5

[Yes, Removable] Pops open like an umbrella which is great for quick setup and tear down. I keep the diffusion material velcro-ed on all the time and un-velcro just enough to set up/collapse. Very large source, soft wrap around subjects. 5
