Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How many watt is this?

A: LED lights work a bit differently when it comes to watts as a basis of brightness, but according to the photometrics, at 3900K this light will be the equivalent of 250W tungsten equivalent.

Q: 2. Is there a Watt-equivalent brightness, for easy comparison with other lights? (I see the Lux rating, but it's less intuitive.)

A: FYI, after some digging and math, I calculated this to be about 156 Watt-equivalents (incandescent). But it could be higher if I'm not handling the light's angle of dispersion correctly.(I'm treating the quoted 200 lumens at 3.65m as a point spherical source. Casual intuition suggests that might not be correct for a panel light like this, ... but my cursory reading of the equations involved suggests that doesn't matter?)The math seems to be:(1) lumens = lux x distance (in meters) squared.(2) Watt-equiv = lumens/19.3+18 (more or less)*So, 100 lux x (3.65)^2 = 2665 lumensand 2665 lumens/19.3+18 = 156 Watt-equiv_____________________* The 2nd equation is my regression of some data I plotted from a DOE webpage.

Q: 3. Can these lights be purchased without stands?

A: That exact light is only available with stands or clamps. It is not available just a light. There are others that are similar that are available just as light.

Q: 4. Are these batteries NP-FZ100 (like used in the Sony A6600)?

A: No. The unit includes two NP-F-type batteries and chargers.

Q: 5. what kind of battery fits this light unit cause it def isnt 8 AA batteries?

A: This light can be powered via the AC adapter that is included or with 8 AA batteries.

Q: 6. How can the Bescor FM-256 Bi-Color LED Mat light be powered by a battery?

A: You may purchase the Bescor FP-24ATM Battery System, B&H # BEFP24ATM, to power the Bescor FM-256 Flexible Remote-Controlled Bi-Color LED Light Mat using battery power.

Q: 7. What is the folded length of the light stands included with this set?

A: Hello! The folded length of the light stands is 29.75"

Q: 8. What are the dimensions of the light? The specs only show the box size. Thanks much!

A: The light itself is approx. 4 x 6 inches.

Q: 9. Can this run off batteries?

A: I have two Bescor FM-256 LED Lght mats. There is a battery designed to power two units but I have not purchased the battery yet. I have used the two LED units with AC power in my home and have been pleased with the convenience and quality of the light. Low cost and no frills. The availability of the battery was a reason I purchased these units.

Q: 10. How long is the articulating Gooseneck arm? and how wide can the gripper clamps open?

A: The goose neck is 23" long and the clamp can open to 2.1".

[CRI 96] They aren't the absolute brightest light, but they bi-color works great. Really I bought these for the RGB feature and plan to use them to add small pops of color when I am lighting scenes. They are going to be excellent for that. The kit that comes with them is pretty great and I am very happy with the quality of light I get. They also have the ability to connect multiple ones together which is pretty cool if you need that feature. I would purchase one of these again.

[CRI 96] Great lights, you are able to adjust the brightness from 1 to 99% and the light temperature from 32k to 56k. They are very portable and easy to set up and take down.

[12 VDC at 2 A] These lights are light-weight and nice and bright. They are especially useful for balancing inside light with bright light coming through a window. The ability to balance the color temp to the environment is especially helpful in a mixed light environment. The ability to use with battery or plug-in power supply is also a plus. The stands are sturdy, light-weight stands - perfect for these lights. When mounted on a camera, the light does not add too much weight to the camera.

[CRI 96] I use these for my telecommuting job and meetings. I can control the color and power of these LED lights. Besides, it comes with filters that allows you to regulate the color besides the built-in buttons. And the tripods are sturdy and light.

[3200 to 5400K] This pair of LED lights are great. But I am not too sure about the battery life. I will definitely give it another try and make sure the batteries are 100% charged.

[12 VDC at 2 A] Small but powerful. It’s perfect for my set up and that’s I need. I love how easy to install and uninstall. And what I love the most is how easy to store it.
