A: Yes, a dovetail Vixen style plate is required. This is pretty much the standard now. B&H and most major vendors have them for sale and many new scopes come with them already. Otherwise, buy one for around 20 bucks, attach your rings to it and your ready to go. I did this with one of my older scopes. Clear skies.
