A: Hi,Depending on when you purchased this speedring the 2 receiving holes for the Spartan deflector dish may not be present. A: Yes this should work with Chimera boxes.

Q: 4. Will this fit a Creative Light 100814 5' RF Octa Softbox ?

A: As long as the rods on your octabox are a standard size, the Impact Speed Ring for Elinchrom EL and Impact EX will work with it.

Q: 5. Will this allow me to mount a Godox AK-R21 Projection Attachment for Flash Heads on to my Elinchrom Ranger Quadra flash head?

A: No, The AK-R21 is designed with two types of mounting rings to connect either round head or normal Fresnel head. So it’s compatible with AD200Pro (round head and Fresnel head), AD100Pro, V1 and nearly all the camera flashes across brands.

Q: 6. Does it work with profoto b10 ?

A: This ring will work with a Profoto B10.

Q: 7. Will these work for most soft boxes with the rod system? I have two 24x36 Profoto softboxes and Bowens lights and need a speed ring to fit them.

A: If you have the non-RFi series of the Profoto softboxes, then this ring would be compatible. If you do have the RFi series softboxes, then the Profoto RFi Speedring for Bowens / Calumet / Aurora / Fomex Flash Heads B&H # PRSRRB, would be a better choice. Please see the image below for reference.

[0.2 lb] This Speed Ring is well built. I'm using it on my Elinchrom lights with a Photoflex Half Dome. There's absolutely nothing 'wrong' with this Speed Ring. That said, like most softboxes getting the rods into it the first time or two will cause you to perspire slightly. Second issue (probably more about the monolight than the ring) is that getting it secured in my Elinchrom's is a bit of an art. There isn't an easy way to get this done unfortunately. 5

[0.2 lb] This speed ring adapter is solid metal, and has perfectly engineered tolerances to snugly fit the Phottix light modifiers on to any Profoto lights. In fact, this locks tighter than some of my Profoto brand modifiers do! Highly recommended. Inexpensive for the quality. 5

[0.2 lb] Winner winner!! This is 145mm and fits the Aputure lantern.... no mods! And so I was able to fit the previously Bowens mount lantern on Profoto OR Bowens. Very very cool 5

[0.2 lb] I initially bought this speedring to replace the one currently in use by my large octogonal softbox. The reason being very simple, i wanted to get the softbox mounted on the stand directly, as opposed to weighting down the flash. This speedring contains 10 holes total, if i counted right, and 2 of them are threaded at least. Using the threaded hole, i can mount it directly on a heavy duty bracket which is on the lightstand. Giving me all the normal flexibility, and just having the flash take no weight other then its own. Invaluable! Especially after 1 flash's mount broke from the weight and a sudden push. The downside ? It recesses most flashes a bit too much, the tunneling is annoying but not particularly bad, a simple fix would of been to flip the speedring mount to allow the flash heads to be further out. 5
