Choosing a smaller size over bulk and weight, the SLR Magic MicroPrime Cine 75mm T1.5 E-Mount Lenscovers full-frame sensors and features a Sony E-mount. Suitable for 4K origination, each lens in the MicroPrime Cine series features similar size and weight with consistent lens gear positions for rapid lens changes and easier re-balancing when changing lenses on a gimbal.

The lens incorporates a 13-blade iris that provides a pleasing bokeh with natural-looking, out-of-focus highlights. The odd number of iris blades also reduces the appearance of flare off the blades. The lens has an internal focus design so the front of the lens doesn't rotate when focusing, and it has an 85mm outer diameter for compatibility with a wide number of clip-on matte boxes.

Each lens in the MicroPrime Cine series features similar balance characteristics, minimizing recalibration when switching lenses while your camera is on a gimbal.

Internal focus mechanism minimizes breathing and prevents the front of the lens from rotating while pulling focus

An 82mm front filter thread enables mounting filters directly to the lens without using a matte box

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this a fully manual lens or does ir communicate with the fujifilm X-T4?

A: Yes, the following lens is a all manual lens.

Q: 2. I have some SLR Magic lenses and the breathing during focus is pretty significant. How is it on this specific one?

A: It's less pronounced, but still present.

Q: 3. Will this cover super 35 sensor?

A: No, the SLR Magic Microprime Cine Lenses cover micro 4/3 sensors.

Q: 4. How's the Chromatic Aberration on these lenses? I plan on using them documentary style with no lighting. So I will be shooting in scenes with a high dynamic range.

A: This is designed to be an affordable option for a cinema lens. You should expect to see some chromatic aberration when using it.

Q: 5. If I mount this on my BMCC4k It will have the focal length of 34mm?

A: With Micro Four Thirds sensors your view will double ( 2X crop) and a 17mm lens will view as a 34mm lens when used with the BM Pocket 4k camera.

Q: 6. Will this lens work alone with the blackmagic 4k/6k or would additional lens be needed

A: This lens would work on the 4K but not the 6K. The BMPCC 4K has a Micro Four-Thirds mount and the BMPCC 6K has a Canon EF mount.

Q: 7. What is the focus throw, is it the same across all the other lenses in the set?

A: All the SLR Magic MicroPrime CINE lenses feature 150° of focus rotation.

Q: 8. What is the focal length equivalent?

A: The Fujifilm X Mount system is for cameras with an APS-C sized and a 1.5x crop factor. This lens will have the equivalent of a 37.5mm field of view.

Q: 9. What is the outside diameter of the lens? (I want to use it with a clamp on matte box)

A: We believe it has an 85mm outer diameter.

Q: 10. what's the difference betwen the microprime cine lenses and the cine II lenses of SLR Magic? I mean, I know the size and weight thing, but I mean in terms of image quality (vignette and aberration at wide open). Thanks!

A: The SLR Magic MicroPrime lenses are built up around the optics of their Cine Lenses. Optically there may not be a difference, the difference in this case would be that a set of MicroPrimes will be uniform in design for being able to be quickly switched on a rig.

[T1.5] Got this bad boy for a steal at 200usd for my Blackmagic 4k. It has turned my pocket into a true cine camera. Don’t need photo lenses ever again.

[Sony E] Huge fan of these SLR Magic Microprimes.

I now have a full set: 12mm T/2.8, 17mm T/1.5, 21mm fT/1.6, 25mm T/1.5, 35mm T/1.5, 50mm T/1.5. They're the best bang for your buck cinema primes out there, in my opinion. I use them with a BMPCC4k and GH5 and I love them.

The only thing I wish they had was a bit more throw with the longer distances. There's very little travel from infinity to six feet, for example.

If your focus or aperture ring seems stiff at first, don't worry - it'll loosen up after some use.

I'm now starting a collection of the SLR Magic APO lenses for PL mount.

[Full Frame] I purchase the 18, 35 and 75 from B&H. These are great lenses. Prone to flare, but manageable. Excellent in low light. I especially enjoy the 75 on my Sony FS5. Gorgeous look.

[75mm] An easy, affordable step up in the look of my images. Received great assistance from B&H through Chat to think through options, ideas, and trade-offs.

[44.0 mm] I shot a film with this 75mm cine lens and it looked awesome. It created a interesting cinematic look that none of my more expensive lenses could produce. I received a lot of compliments on the shots that I did using this lens. These lenses are also built like a tank unlike other still and cine lenses.

[Sony E] I've tried to occasionally short cut my way to quality by purchasing cheaper lenses but in comparison, there is none. The SLR Magic MicroPrime Cine 25mm outperforms the competition.
