The Velbon M43 Aluminum Tripod with Ball Headsupports up to 4.4 lb and features a maximum height of 61.4" with the center column raised and 49.6" with the column lowered. The tripod is lightweight at only 1.7 lb yet provides the height of most full-size tripods. Its compact design makes it ideal for travel and many other applications.

The tripod features quick-locking leg levers that allow you to adjust its height on the fly, and it offers a quick release camera mounting platform so you can easily remove your camera for handheld use. The mounting platform can be attached facing forward or sideways.

A: Yes. The feet on the EX-Mini (at the time that I bought mine) are rubberized. There may be surfaces on which they would still slide, but I tried it on wood, plastic and glass without slipping.Hope this helps.

Q: 9. when it is in the lowest position at 8 what is messurement of the area the legs cover?

A: I'm afraid Velbon does not list the exact specs for how much area the legs will cover when this tripod is only 8 inches from the ground. However we can tell you that it will take up a very small amount of room when configured like that.

[5 Positions] I've NOT found any better under two pound super-light weight tripods than these. My B cams are mounted on them. Dependable sturdy legs and unusually good fluid heads yet so inexpensive and with a 5 years warranty! The negative: non-removable heads. 5

[2.655 lb] For me it hit the sweet spot of being a tabletop tripod that's small/light enough to ship or travel with, while still offering enough vertical range and strength to be useful, all while being very affordable. Seems fairly well designed and built. Love the quick leg latches/snaps (hate twisty leg extensions...). Prefer the pan/tilt head over a ballhead, and thankful for the quick-release plate. 5

[90°] Now that Canon allows a wide arrangement of cameras to be used as webcams, this desktop tripod is perfect for my Canon EOS 77D as a webcam. It takes a bit of careful alignment of the legs to prevent tipping, though. One leg should extend out under the lens. 5
