Q: 1. Pardon me for not being so advanced. can this be used in a 10" Dob no tracking? Once attached to a laptop, I'm assuming you can focus while watching real time on your laptop screen? How quick is the exposure time given the object will be moving in a Dob with no tracking. Thanks!

A: Think of the NexImage 5 Solar System Imager as an electronic eyepiece. The software also delivers the ability to manually change the gain, contrast, exposure time, frame rate and color saturation of the camera through the computer.

Q: 2. WOULD THE Celestron NexImage 5 Solar System Imager (5MP)WORK WITH A 10 SKYWATCHER DOBS GOTO?

A: It should work fine with any goto telescope. I have a Celestron 6se and got awesome results on my first night after watching a few YouTube videos

Q: 3. How effective is this masking animal noises, like dogs barking in the background as I'm having a Skype call?

A: This item will not cancel out the sound of a dog barking. This item is meant primarily to make conversations under it unintelligible to others within a 15' radius.

Q: 4. Good Day, this camera is it comparable with celestron next star 8se ?

A: Yes, you can use it. The imager has a 1-1/4" mount and would replace an eyepiece. Clear skies!

Q: 5. Where is this the neximage 5 solar imager made ?

A: The country of origin for this item is the country of China.

Q: 6. Would like to use this on a CPC-1100. What is the video frame-rate for this camera? I plan to use it for live video feed to a Jumbo-tron at a large stadium event. Will this camera do the job?

A: 6.23 to 52.37 at the lowest resolution, 0.71 to 5.99 at the highest resolution

Q: 7. ? can you use a barlow with this camera and the nexstar 4se

A: I don't really know still trying to figure mine out sorry I will give it a try tonight and see

Q: 8. is it possible to attach this camera to a baader hyperion zoom ? I am planning to buy a skywatcher 120mm ed refractor and a vx mount ,but I am unclear as to if this can only be used with barlows for multiples of prime focus or if it can be attached to ep's

A: The NexImage 5 camera does not have a lens and is not designed to record images through an eyepiece. It is designed to fit into your telescope's 1.25 focuser drawtube (or 2 to 1.25 adapter) in place of an eyepiece, using the optics of your telescope as a lens. In principal, you can use this camera with a Barlow for added magnification, but the 2.2 micron pixel size of the Neximage 5 combined with the 840mm focal length of the Skywatcher 120 ED already means that to 0.54 arc-seconds of sky will be spread over each pixel. A 120mm aperture only gives an angular resolution of (at best) 1.16 arc-seconds due to diffraction. In this situation any extra magnification provided by a Barlow can do little to improve the resolution of the image and will work against you by reducing the signal to noise ratio.

Q: 9. How am I supposed to power this? I know it says 24vDC power supply, but nothing is indicated in the Accessories section. Bad product description and integration listing. No Donuts for you!

A: The power supply is included with the device. This is indicated in the "In the Box" section of the product page.

Q: 10. ? will it work good with nexstar 4se

A: If by work you mean render good imagery -yes. It does not however, synch with the field of view through the scope. I expected a 1:1 parity but this is not even close. Users expect to get a photo of what they saw through the lens. They don't get that.

[HDTV to Video] We installed this in a rehabbed church space that's now a contemporary art gallery flush mounted it to an exposed beam and it looks and works great. That said, it's only been about a week, so maybe I'll report back later if I have any complaints! I was surprised that, for its length, there are only 2 mounting holes on either end, so I fear that it may sag over time. But again, too soon to tell. Where it does mount in those 2 places, it's on a solid plastic end cap/brace, so it seems like it will hold up well. It weighs about 85 pounds, so we had 3 people to install. We had to go about 17 feet up to the beam, we leveled, marked and pre-drilled & drove lag bolts into the beam and then used two extension ladders on either side to climb and carefully slide the projector up on the ladder's rails. Our 3rd person was on a 10ft ladder in the middle and was there as a spotter for extra support. It was then quite easy to hook it on to the lag bolts once we slid it to the top. All in all, it's an easy install, we opened the box and had the job done in less than 4 hours. Just be sure you have the wiring supplies and the proper mounting hardware and you'll have no problem!

[130 x 9 x 8"] This Screen was easy to install. It took 3 people and 2 ladders to get the job done. The remote is really not needed but i opted to install it as well. The motor runs really smooth. The screen is nice and wide. A really good buy.

[130 x 9 x 8"] We use the screen in our church sanctuary once or twice a month. Installing it was an adventure with the weight and length, but several sections of scaffolding and a couple friends made the install move along nicely. The instructions for wiring were right on and it worked first try! The image is right on and visible the entire length of our viewing area (over 100').
