The Davis & Sanford V9 Fluid Video Head for Smooth Filmingis a flat base fluid video head featuring a lightweight design. You can start your search with systems that have the Manfrotto 509HD Head. The 509HD has a load capacity of 29 pounds, which is enough to handle the Ursa and accessories. You will also need a VCT-14 Quick Release Tripod Adapter to mount the Ursa on any tripod.

A: The knob on the right side top end of the Davis & Sanford V9 Fluid Video Head tightens the tripod plate into the head. Beneath that one still on the right, the bigger knob tightens or loosens the amount of Vertical tension on forward and backward motions. The knob on the left side tightens or loosens the panning capabilities, for horizontal motions of the fluid head.

[16 x 7.5 x 4.5"] Ive only had this a short while but it seems to be is a great starter video fluid head. Fits snugly on my old Manfrotto tripod and does what it's designed to do very well and it appears to be very well built. 5

[Fixed] I purchased this Fluid Head for my Canon XH A1 video camera. I use it on a small set of Bogan Legs and it is stable and very light. Great for gun and run type of situations where you have to be hand held and mobile but want more stability. I added a Libec Lanc zoom control to the handle of the Head and it really gives me control, mobility and stability, it can function as a mono pod also. The panning of the head is comparable to that of much more expensive fluid heads. I would buy another one of these. 5

[3/8"-16 Female] I'm using this as a dedicated head for a powered slider. I put it through a fair amount of abuse (cold midwest temps, challenging conditions in general), and it's holding up. There are not as many drag options as my Manfrotto unit but it's a super cost-effective head that handles an 11-pound rig well (would consult the manufacturer for the actual weight ratings ...). 5
