The Smith-Victor 600-Watt Quartz Open Face Torchlampharnesses the heating power of a quartz lamp and puts it to work as a utility torch with lighting built in. A: You can use these lights for stills or video with the Sony A6000. Generally, you would need to set the white balance for tungsten or perform a custom white balance.

A: I am not really sure whether they can or not. Even though I have used this equipment in my studio which is lit by fluorescent lights at night, I think I have only used the lamps you provided with the equipment, with the fluorescents off.The problem with fluorescence is that if the person is photographing paintings or drawings or photographs the whites can appear red or blue depending on the exposure/background/etc. So, I would use the photo bulbs and try them with both the lights on and off and see whether the whites are truly white or some other color.Usually, you cannot photograph well under fluorescent light.

A: According to Smith-Victor, they state that yes, the LED60 has a built-in fan. The noise from the fan is right around 3kHz, peaking at about 37dB, depending on your position in relation to the bulb. If you have an omni-directional microphone positioned right next to the bulb, you may pick up the sound of the fan. If microphones are farther away, the sound will be less noticeable. The distance at which the microphone will be placed in relation to the bulb and other variables will determine the final sound level of the fan in the bulb.

[Not applicable] In our industrial environment, we use this lamp for heating our samples up before testing them, unit works great and the light is amazing ! Caution in use and do not leave on for extended periods....melted a piece of plastic bubble wrap in 7 seconds ! 5

[Not applicable] I use these lights for film and photography purposes. They create strong bright light and the umbrellas are diffuse the light perfectly. They take a few minutes to set up though and can be tricky to move when completely set up but they are more than worth the effort. 5

[1.515 lb] I use the Q60 for photo shoots where I want a grainy edgy feel to it, so when it came time to add another light to my gear box, this one was the best bang for the buck. Puts out the right amount of light and gives me the texture I need. 5

[600 W] Everything works great! I really recommend this product. Reviews say it's hard to put together but it's not hard if you have common sense. This was my first time buying and working with lighting and set up and break down was easy. There are no instructions but you don't need any. Light stand are not the best (a little flimsy) but you get what you pay for. I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for my first set of lights but at the same time I need them to last a long time work well. So far, I couldn't be happier. And the carrying case is awesome. Would have been super happy if it came with 3 umbrellas instead of just 2 but I guess now I can buy a different umbrella for the 3rd light to see what works best. 5
