Supplies power long enough for equipment to properly shut down when utility power fails. Helps prevent loss of data and minimizes the component stress caused by a hard shutdown.

Diverts excess voltage away from sensitive electronic equipment during an AC power surge or power spike to help prevent damage.

Exists when a line interactive UPS has an auto-transformer that regulates low voltages, such as brownouts, and over voltages, such as spikes, without having to switch to its battery.

Provides clean, consistent AC power by automatically increasing (boosting) low voltage without using battery power when incoming utility power experiences minor fluctuations.

Provides power protection to ENERGY STAR 6.0 systems with Active PFC power supplies.

This is a patented design that allows utility power to bypass the UPS transformer when AC power is stable, which helps reduce energy consumption, noise, and heat buildup.

Helps prevent electromagnetic and radio frequency interference to ensure clean power for connected equipment.

Displays immediate, detailed information on the UPS battery and power conditions, alerting users to potential problems before they can affect critical equipment and cause downtime.

Identifies when the unit is running on battery power, has overloaded, or has a low battery.

Interrupts an electric current in a circuit when the current becomes too high.

Helps minimizes noise during operation for a quieter work environment.

Helps prolongs unit life with rugged casing made of impact-resistant material for greater durability.

Provides IT professionals with tools for monitoring and managing the UPS and backup power. This software offers remote management functionality.

CyberPower will repair or replace a defective UPS system (including batteries) within three years of the purchase date.

CyberPower will repair or replace properly connected equipment if it is damaged by a power surge.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this be used to power strobes as it's a pure sine wave?

A: Yes. As long as your flash head is no more than 720 Watt second. I have tested this UPS with my Profoto Acute2R 2400 power pack with one Profoto Acute/D4 Head. The power pack must be set to the minimum setting of 1/4 power output. Otherwise, the UPS will shut down. Be gentle transporting the UPS to photoshoot locations and ensure the vents near the bottom side panels have proper clearance.

Q: 2. Is the power light suppose to stay lit all of the time? My power light is off most of the time, but occasionally flickers on/off. Does this mean the battery is low?

A: Yes, the power light should be on if the UPS is on.

Q: 3. how long does it last?

A: Generally speaking Milton, batteries in UPS can last between 3 -5 years before signs of degradation. However, factors such as an UPS operating in consistent heat or frequent charging/discharging will shorten the live span of the UPS. I've had my CP1500PFCLCD for 13 months and it is operating excellent with no issues.

Q: 4. Can this UPS be used to clean up dirty power from less expensive back up generator?

A: NO! This is not a double conversion design, so it will pass through dirty power, unless you are on battery. This is true for almost all battery backups, as double conversion designs are less efficient.

Q: 5. Is the software compatible with Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit?

A: Yes.Go to cyberpowersystems .com / products / software(Extra spaces added above so server won't block link! Remove extra spaces.)Good luck

Q: 6. Can this be used horizontally and the lcd screen rotated?

A: No it is not able to do so.

Q: 7. Is this product Underwriter Laboratories Certified, and if so, to what specifications?

A: The CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD PFC Sinewave UPS is UL 1778.

Q: 8. So if I have a 3D printer that pulls about 50 watts, how long will this thing keep it running if power goes out?

A: According to the manufacturers runtime calculator a 50w load would be about 100 minutes.

Q: 9. Can I connect a three outlet 50 foot extension cord into a single surge+battery outlet on the UPS as I have 2-3 other devices too far away from where the UPS will be placed. The devices are a cable modem, WiFi router and Netgear router?

A: In order for the UPS to work as intended, it is not recommended to use any type of extension cord or to share outlets with more than 1 device.

Q: 10. Can you use a short extender on the outlet on the back of the UPS so that a wider external hard drive plug does not cause you to overlap the outlet beside it?

A: This will work, but the doc's say no extensions. I would imagine the only issue might be in a warranty claim situation - technically a short cable is going to make no difference in performance.

[4 ms] This is my 3rd CyberPower and they all seem to be doing what they are supposed to do.  It hasnt had a stress test yet but Im sure it will meet its specs.  The only question I would have is how well they hold up over time.  I like the display showing the load and other conditions in real time.  My other more powerful unit does not have that.  I previously owned all APC products which were serviceable until they all went south.   The lights would flash and the units would beep, but the self test showed everything as OK.  That was a false indication which could have resulted in lost data with a real power loss.

[120 VAC ] Its good looking (for what it is) and blends in well with other electronics in my entertainment center. Two factors to consider if you're using this in a gaming or theater room environment. One the weight and two the additional depth needed to plug items in the back will be a problem for smaller/cheaply made entertainment centers. Are far as performance I have a 65 led, PS5, XBOX X Nvida Shield pro, Ubiquti 8 port switch and two fans plugged into. I stress tested each individual item and the XBOX X was the biggest consumer of power. The cyberPower estimated about 25 minutes of runtime while actually gaming. In hindsight I would guess I could have gotten away with a much smaller UPS but the price between the OR1000PFCRT2u and this OR1500PFCRT2U was only $20 bucks at time of sale

[ 1030 Joules] Most home computer setups don't need much more than a 500va setup, but if you're running a server with a bunch of drives then you need lots of outlets. I'm running six 4-drive boxes linked through the thunderbolt input on a laptop and I've had two power outages and this new Cyberpower has worked flawlessly both times,

[17.5 Minutes] Hello. We just had a power outage today, for 2.5 hours. As soon as the power went off this system kicked on automatically. I knew the power had gone out because this system has a beeping alarm when the unit is up and running. There is a button you can turn off the alarm. The alarm is not annoying - actually reassuring in a way - knowing that the system is up and running. The alarm turned off when the power was restored. All of my electronics quietly transffered back to the electric current in my house. My unit is now recharging again. I have 3 of these units in my house. I've owned them for a few years now. One unit for my internet system - which was up and running during the power outage. Sure I have internet usage on my cell phone, but all of my electronics that use wifi from my internet were also up and running as well - no interference or worrying about not having wifi available (unlike my neighbors). One unit hooked up to my Mac and Echo - both working throughout the power outage (still connected to the internet because my internet has one of these units). The last unit is hooked up to my TV (including Apple TV, a Roku Box, etc...). I've bought smaller units for smaller items that don't need as much power as this one provides. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase (B&H always delivers the best service) and these units have always come through during power outages. I'm looking to buy a few more... Thanks for reading my review. If you are looking for a great unit, you won't be disappointed.

[6.5 Minutes] This UPS is a great small rack device for reasonable sized loads. It is a secondary device for our rack but keeps our equipment running during power failures or the weekly generator test. Would recommend for anyone needing this size UPS in their rack.

[Lead-Acid] I really like this UPS! This is the third one of these that we have deployed and it's a great value for a rack-mount unit (although you don't have to mount it in a rack). The software adds control of additional functions, but isn't required. The unit gives you function of basic functions via the LCD display.
