Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How much weight will the Avenger F809 Right Angle Baby Plate (Chrome-Plated) support? (I have a 17-lb. background) – Thanks.

A: The plate is a welded to a steel pin. The load limit will more be a matter of how you mount it and what you mount it too.

Q: 2. it looks like it can clamp smaller pipe than specified 1.65 or 42mm. Would this work to hold 30 lbs with a pipe between 1.3 and 1.6 ?

A: Nils, from my experience I would say yes. The cool part with BH is you can return things if they don't work out.The 1.65 is the top end of what the clamp will attach to. I hope this helps!

Q: 3. What is the range of motion for the swivel, 360 degrees?

A: 360 degrees

Q: 4. Could this be mounted to the ceiling with a Manfrotto magic arm?

A: Yes. The following item will be needed. Impact Conversion Socket 5/8" Female to 5/8" Female BH #IMSRP125P • MFR #SRP-125P https://bhpho.to/3J73Q4p

Q: 5. i will like to know if it will fit on a truss 12''x12''?

A: It depends on the size of the pipe in the truss. This clamp is for pipe 1.65 - 2.0" (42 - 52 mm) in diameter.

Q: 6. What is the weight limit?

A: This can hold approximately 6-7 lbs at the most.

Q: 7. How much is the load capacity?

A: Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not list a load capacity for this product. While it is a very sturdy product, how well it will hold depends on the application.

Q: 8. How much is the load capacity?

A: Unfortunately, Avenger does not list a load capacity for this item.

Q: 9. What size bolts / screws are needed to mount into wall?

A: The holes in the plate measure out at around .25 inches. I have never used screws. I use gaffer tape to mount it on walls.

Q: 10. is the ball swivel removable? leaving just the base and ball rod on ceiling?

A: The swivel can be removed, but it may be difficult to re-install it.

[2.015 lb] Im using The Avenger F810 as a table for product photography. The plate, swivel and all associated parts are sturday and appear to be very durable.  While mostly used in a horizontal configuration, the swival lets me get any angle I might need.

The plate itself is a bit small for the Acrylic surfaces I use.  I purchased a 12 wide wooden shelf board from my local hardware store, attached it to the holes on the plate counter sinking the  screw heads and it makes a perfect and sturdy surface - and one that can be easily removed.

[Steel] I'm an indie filmmaker and continually strive to make professional but cheap custom equipment because most of the stuff out there is so over priced. I got the Avenger wall plate to mount a fluorescent light to a light stand (similar to a Kino-Flo) and it works great. So with the help of the Avenger plate, I have a fluorescent light that is just as good as a $1000 Kino-Flo (although not dimmable) for under $70! The plate is extremely well built and I almost feel bad using it for such 'light' duty as holding up my light, but it was the best piece of gear for the job and I'm glad I got it.

[Steel] The wall swivel plate is just what I needed. Not one issue with it.

[2.015 lb] I was looking for something to hold a hair light in my studio to a beam. I ordered the Avenger F810 and am really pleased with this hardware. It is nice and solid--easy to tighten and un-tighten and maneuver my light head. Once locked down it stays nicely. Was please that I can orientate the plate both vertically as well as horizontally. I highly recommend this!

[2.015 lb] I bought two of these because I wanted to hang some speakers from the grid in my studio. They are plate mounted rock solid to the speaker, and the ball joint has held the speaker at the right angle with no trouble so far.
