Perfect to keep in your pack, pocket, purse, or glove box, the Konus KonuSmall-2 7-17x30 Monocular Compact Scopelives up to its name, sporting a compact and lightweight design to deliver magnified views without weighing you down.

Outfitted with a broad zoom range that provides low to medium magnifications and anti-reflection multi-coatings to boost brightness and contrast while helping to limit light loss and eye fatigue, the monocular lets you take in sweeping views at low power while enabling you to dial up the magnification for detailed observations at longer distances. A dual focusing system provides fast coarse and precise fine focusing, and a convenient twist-up eyecup makes for comfortable use with or without eyewear. For those long observation sessions, or to limit hand shake and vibration, the KonuSmall has a standard 1/4"-20 threaded tripod mount to make attaching to window mounts, quick-release plates, or photo/video/field tripods fast and easy.

Q: 1. Why is this lens 19000.00 in comparison to Sonys native lens of the same mm?

A: Performance. That is what you are paying for. This is a Zeiss zoom, the finest in the world. With it you get unbelievable sharpness, flatness, lack of distortion, no vignetting, no breathing during focus, all in a rugged body that will work all day forever in the most demanding conditions for James Cameron. You do not want less than the absolute best in the world in such a camera situation. Think of your Ford Focus then think of a Formula 1 race car and you will start to see the difference in purpose and why the cost differential.

A: The Vanguard 10x50 VEO ED Binoculars have a larger eye relief than the Konus, so the Vanguard 10x50 VEO ED Binoculars are easier to use when wearing eyeglasses.

Q: 6. Iam planning to buy this Zeiss CZ2 70-200 my pl mount for shooting my feature film on my Red epic dragon and the black magic Ursa mini pro4.6 camera,I have already canon cn - e 145-60 mm t/ 2.6 pl lens,My doubt is how is the picture quality of this lens like boketh, breathing, sharpness, colour retention, chromatic abration, distortion exetra is it better than cp2/3 lens, iin par with ultra prime, fuginon cabrio zoom like 19-90 t/2.9 or 85-300 t/2.9-4 lenses,I know it is a full frame lens,so there Will be change in angle of view when used on super 35 sensor,-asok

A: The ZEISS Compact Zoom lenses are high-end cine zooms which are designed as companions for the UltraPrime and MasterPrime lenses. They offer similar color rendition and contrast, with the added benefit of having full-frame coverage. This means on super 35 sensors, you are imaging within the 'sweet spot' of the lens. A: It would really depend on the kind of Phone you have. However it might be possible. The image might be difficult to shoot without an Adapter due to the Monocular Magnifying the movement.

Q: 9. What is the field of view? In the same description It reads four different fields of view, that after every calculation of each of these numbers comes less than the 63 degrees afov specified

A: The angle of view is 5.6 degrees. Which translates into a field of view of 294 feet @ 1000 yards

[Roof] Ordered for star watching in dark areas - also good for trees
and educating youth about optics!

[0.49 lb] I was looking for a small but effective monocular to take with me to the indoor shooting range. Specifically, I wanted something with a big enough objective lens to still keep things reasonably bright in the often subdued lighting of the range. This has worked perfectly for my needs. It is lightweight, and I can easily view the target from as close as 5 yards to as far as 25 yards (the full depth of the range). Focusing is relatively straightforward: for rapid focus you simply slide the two ends of the scope further apart or closer together, and for fine-focus, you dial in or out using the knurled rubber ring toward the end of the scope. The zoom feature works fine. I like that the raised tripod mount also features a small hole through which you can insert a neck strap (i.e., the type with a thin string loop for lightweight cameras, etc.). I also looked at a Tasco monocular, which sold for a little less, but there was no comparison at all. The Konus is much better made, uses nicer glass and materials, and just feels like a monocular should feel, whereas the Tasco felt very cheap and was nowhere near as sharp or bright as the Konus. I'm very happy with this purchase.

[30 mm] I purchased this scope with plans of using it at the indoor range I go to but it turns out that it isn't bright enough at my indoor range for this power scope, but, for the outdoor range it's great and I'm glad I bought it. B&H had the best price, free next day shipping, and they even threw in a couple of freebies! It turned out to be a win win!

[1/4"-20 Female] I find the images to be very clear. It's exactly what I was looking for, something that is compact and light to carry along with great reach and delivering bright clear images. it's easy to use. Includes a protective carry case, cleaning cloth and cell phone adapter. I would buy this again.

[0.49 lb] These are excellent binoculars. I've used Steiner 7x50's before and the clarity is just as good, at a tiny fraction of the price. These are focus-free binocs for only $30 bucks. The only tiny nitpick are the lens caps - they come off too easily and I can see them getting lost. But I can MacGyver a solution - string them together using 200lb test fishing line with small holes thru the lenscaps and the fishing line strung thru the caps. Then all four lens caps will be strung together and easier to keep from losing them. Not a big deal. Buy these binocs; you're an idiot if you buy more expensive ones.

[7 to 17x] I bought this scope specifically for spotting at 50 foot in my gun club's indoor range. It works perfectly! Reasonably bright optics for the price. Easy to use. Very small and light. Does not take up a bunch of space in my range bag. WAAY better than toting around a full size spotting scope! At 17 power the target fills the field of view and I have no problem seeing the .22 caliber holes in it. I can't speak to its ability outdoors at longer distances. But at 50 feet indoors you are good to go!

[Roof] I studied the features of several monoculars before I chose the Konus. I like the 7 to 17x zoom, the fast focus, and the fine focus features. The item a well made, and compact in its design. It works for me, getting a closer look at the birds using my bird feeder.

[7 to 17x] My daughter is graduating high school and going off to college to persue a degree in Chemistry. This was an early Graduation gift and she is truly excited and has gone through all the slide making notes. It was the perfect gift, and I am so very glad that we found your site and ordered from you. Many Thanks for providing something so useful and intricate in furthering her education.

[7 to 17x] Feels solidly made. The twist action is smooth and easy to use, but with only about 15mm to grip on by the eye cup it wouldn't be great with gloves or limited hand mobility. It's small enough to easily fit in a pocket, but still gives a good view. It works well enough at long distances, but where it really shines is up close. At 30cm you can see a lot of detail in plants and insects.

The lens caps are a bit fiddly. They included one cap that fits the front or rear and an identical looking cap that's 1mm wider and won't grip on the front. It only takes a couple extra seconds to sort out,

[7 to 17x] I purchased this item as well as the smaller one (Konusmall-2 7-17x30). Both work pretty well for the cost but this one is well worth the extra dollars. The focus control etc. work well with unit, which the smaller units is more sloppy and the rotation knobs are definitely looser, assuming I did not get a defective 7017x30 mm unit). Images are very clear at maximum magnification for the 8-24x40 mm unit, more than for the other unit. Well worth the full price though this was procured when an approximately $15 discount applied.
