The O.C. White Heavy Duty Surface Mount is a strong bracket used to successfully mount O.C. White Microphone arms onto desktops, counters, tabletops and other flat surfaces. The Surface Mount Base features a screw-down vice for securing microphone arms in place.

A: After speaking with Explore Scientific tech dept. they indicated an approximate max weight of about 40 lbs.

A: You will be required to adjust some bolts with basic hand tools to adjust this stand, so although it is fairly quick and easy to do it may not be considered truly "on the fly."

[Surface Mount] This works perfectly with the rock-solid OC White scissor arm. Cast iron, looks like it will last longer than I will. Be sure to wrench this into your desk or mounting surface very tightly, and you'll be good to go. 5

[Black] These are excellent. I use a number of elbow lamps/magnifying glass and devices. Bought as replacements to the lousy plastic clamps that come with the lamps, etc. 5

[Surface Mount] From the images I was expecting some sort of plastic design for the main black part but it's made of a really heavy solid metal. The clamp is very wide (thick desks accomedated) and has padding to minimize any damage to the surface. Went with this over the other mounting option as it can be easily taken off and moved around whereas the other is a more permanent solution. 5

[1.07 lb] This is not a very exciting product, but it works perfectly with my OC White mic arm. It is sturdy and should outlast me. I used 10-24 screws (with washers and nuts) and drilled holes to mount it to my desk. The screws are not included, but cost pennies at the local hardware store. 5

[Surface Mount] sturdy and built like a tank, just like the arm it supports. Just be sure to wrench it in tightly so it doesn't wobble, because the arms are HEAVY! 5

[Surface Mount] This clamp is strong and rock solid. It supports heavy arms well and I love the fact that I can move my microphone arm from room to room or take it on the road with me and attach it to a desk or table using this clamp. I use it with an OC White Deluxe 2 joint microphone arm and a fairly heavy large diaphram microphone and the clamp handles the load perfectly. 5
