Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will fit a D5200 with AF-S DX VR ZOOM-NIKKOR 55-200MM F/4-5.6G IF-ED (mounted) and a 50mm 1.8?

A: I mentioned in my other answer that I can get my Canon Sl1 + 18-55 STM lens in this bag with room for my small Canon G1X. I just discovered there is room for the SL1 with 18-135 STM lens imounted with the camera / lens positioned vertically in the bag with lens facing down. Still plenty of room for the smaller camera or a flash beside it with a divider between. The 7D with 24-105 lens mounted is a snug fit, but does have about an inch + extra for small items. Again, front pockets available for other items.

Q: 2. Will this insert fit in a Hadley Small Bag.The bag dimensions seem to be able to accommodate this insert or is there another one that works better? Thanks, LG

A: I'm not sure what insert you're talking about but the one that comes with it works well for my 88mm Nikon zoom lens and my prime.

Q: 3. Would this bag accommodate a Fuji x100v plus personal items? Want a bag to use as my everyday purse plus fit the camera. No extra lens to worry about

A: Yes , the Billingham Hadley Shoulder Bag Small will easily accomodate the Fuji X100V and some personal items.

Q: 4. Will this bag fit a Rolleiflex 2.8E, light meter, 10 rolls of film, grey card, phone, keys and a small wallet?

A: I would go with a hadley pro for that setup.

Q: 5. I own a Fujifilm x-e2 with a 18-55 lens, later certainly one or two other lens and a flashlight, and I want to buy a Billingham bag. I hesitate between the Hadley small, L2, f2.8 and Hadley pro. Who can help me finding the best model (not too big, not too wide, with possibly additional pockets)?

A: I have the Hadley Small Pro which has exactly the same interior dimensions. Essentially it is the same bag with some additional features: a top handle, back zipper pocket, etc. It easily carries my Fuji X-E3 with 3 Fuji prime lens (35mm, 23mm, and 18 mm) with one always attached to the camera body. I previously used the S2 bag, but it was suitable for only two lens,, and the zipper top was unhandy for easy access to the camera when walking and shooting because it was not fully open like the Hadley bags..

Q: 6. Will this fit a Nikon D7000 with 24-70/f2.8 lens and a Nikon 70-210/f4-5.6?

A: This bag will not fit that equipment set up, my apologies. I would go with the next size up called the Billingham Hadley Pro Shoulder Bag.Website link: http://bhpho.to/1m6mFJm

Q: 7. Does anyone know if this bag will fit a 12-inch MacBook?

A: An iPad will fit; however, a 12-inch MacBook would definitely not fit.

Q: 8. Will this fit a Nikon D7100 + Helios 40-2 (the dimension of helios is approx. 3.23 x 3.23 x 3.9 in. /82.0 x 82.0 x 99.0mm) and a samyang 85mm 1.4?- D7100+Helios 40-2 (mounted)- Samyang 85mm 1.4

A: I can't say for sure but I do own this bag and use it to carry an Olympus OM-D E-M1 with 12-40 Pro mounted. Also in the bag are 40-150 Pro zoom and a 60 macro. Check out the measurements of these individual items and compare them to your Nikon. The Nikon is a larger body but my 40-150 and 12-40 zooms are large lenses for the M 4/3's format. I love the bag because it has a small footprint and is very narrow, it's the smallest bag I've found to fit my preferred kit. If the Hadley small is too tight for you, I'd highly recommend the next larger Hadley, they're beautiful, high-quality items.

Q: 9. How many large and small dividers come with the Billingham Hadley Small?

A: 2 large and 2 small

Q: 10. Would this fit a fujifilm xt2 with 50-140mm lense and 56mm lense and 23mm lense?

A: I have this bag and the XT-1, 18-55 and 35 fit comfortably. I don't have that lens but I'm thinking if you want to carry the 50-140 that may take all the space.

[Universal] I use it for my Leica M9 system: M9 body, 35mm Lux, 50mm Cron, 18mm Super-Elmar with 18mm Zeiss viewfinder, and 90mm APO. When I ordered this bag, I was worrying it might too small for the whole set. However, when I received the bag, I can easily load everything into it: 35mm Lux attached to the body sitting in the middle, 90mm APO sitting on the left, and all the rest sit to the right with a separator to separate the 50mm and 18mm. I have a small OP/TECH fold-over pouch for the VF so it sits nicely with the 18mm. I can also loaded the two front compartments with extra batteries, SD cards and filters. Perfect!

[Yes] Excellent camera bag for one camera and a lens. My only criticism is the lack of a pocket outside the bag--but this is a minor one. The ease of which the photographer can open the bag and quickly retrieve his camera makes up for this issue. This will be the bag I must often use when I'm using one camera.

[Black] I bought the Billingham Hadley small for an M mount camera system. I was really after something small and mobile, after lugging around a DSLR system, and the Hadley small / M mount system fits the bill perfectly. I wanted to buy a Billingham Hadley bag as I already use a Hadley large for my film Hasselblad and was very pleased with its capacity, usability, comfort and durability. In spite of the price, I think the Billingham Hadleys are good value for money. The Hadley small is a great size for an M mount camera and a couple of lenses. What I didn't fully appreciate, though, is that I also need the pockets to carry some basic accoutrements such as sunglass case et cetera and the Hadley small pockets are just a little too tight for some larger items. So, a great size for the camera but just a little too tight for anything more, and that can be a pain when you want to be out and about with hands free. It's a great bag, though, and of terrific quality. I'm going to persevere with it as I should probably force myself to fit within the available volume. In my view, that might enforce some discipline and help me travel light and happily. I just need to figure out how to jam those sunnies in...

[Universal] Look at https://youtu.be/9bIKSaYfWFU for what the bag will hold. I actually got more in there than I expected. For reference, the M5 has the 18-150mm attached w/hood and strap. The other lenses are the M 11-22mm w/hood and the M 55-200mm w/hood. Also included: EX-270-II flash with soft box, filter kit, cleaning kit, white balance kit, small tabletop tripod, spare lens caps, charger (forgot to show two spare M5 batteries), body cap, spare rear lens cap, AA batteries. There's still a bit of room in the main compartment above the vertically placed 55-200 and in one of the front pockets. Reversing all three hoods would yield more space for small items. Construction is excellent. I'm very pleased with the bag and content outcome!

[Yes] I bought the Hadley to take on a trip to Washington, DC and it was perfect. My Sony fixed lens camera and flash fit nicely in the bag along with a some extras like personal items. I chose the black with tan because I knew it would like nice with my black coat and it did. I also have this same bag in tan and the medium in tan. The Hadley suits my needs perfectly for travel or shooting birthday parties or other events.

[Black] I adore this bag for my Micro 4/3. I have a lot of camera bags, and this is always the first one I reach for. It can hold two Olympus OMD bodies, one with a 12-40mm f/2.8 attached and the other with a Panasonic 35-100 f/2.8 attached. And I still have plenty of room for accessories. If I am using smaller lenses, I can also fit several spare primes. My rule is that if my gear fits into the Hadley Small, then I am good to walk around all day in any kind of weather. My shoulder will still feel good at the end of the day, and I don't have to take breaks because I am tired of carrying gear around. If my gear doesn't fit into the Hadley Small, I am carrying too much. I also have a Hadley Pro, which is a great bag and which I use when I need to carry a lot of gear: two bodies and a big lens (like the Panasonic 100-300), big flashes or my 13 MacBook Air. With a fully loaded Hadley Pro, though, I will feel the weight by the end of the day. It's okay for a few hours, but not all day. There is nothing else that matches the comfort and flexibility of the Hadley Small --- and I have a lot of camera bags. And the Hadley Small is a good looking bag, too. I like the Hadley Small so much that I have two of them, one in Sage/Tan and one in Black/Tan. I have had the Sage bag for several years, and it still looks brand new --- and I don't baby it at all. I haven't had the black bag as long, and I am a little concerned that it might show lint more than the sage bag. It's really too soon to tell. The Hadley Small is an expensive bag, but it is worth every penny. Just get it.

[Universal] It's expensive alright....but the quality is top notch, if you're willing to splurge on a camera bag Billingham is the way to go. Perfect smedium size for mirrorless!

[Black] I wanted a Billingham bag for the longest time. When B&H has this one on sales, I jumped on it. Only concern was the size. I have Fuji X-T3 system and it holds camera with 18-55 and 50-140 perfectly. I’m a happy camper!!!

[Black] Nicely made. I've come to like the more flexible fabric on these vs the heavy canvas versions. This is just a bit narrow in depth from what I was expecting and since receiving it, have changed my intended use for it. I am now using it for a Contax G system, 2 bodies, 3 lenses along with the large 360 flash and the other trivials one brings along and it just barely handles the chore. Seems like a lifetime bag (but then again, I'm pretty old!).
