A: It is our opinion that no this would not work and only result in the filter falling and breaking. There are third party adapters available elsewhere on the net so that you can put a 62mm filter on this camera.

A: it will work for filter and caps if you like , the lens hood would not fit

Q: 4. Would this step-down ring allow me to mount a 95mm filter on a lens with 105mm filter size?

A: Both the outside and inside threads on this have a pitch of 1.0 mm so it will work if your lens and filter threads have a pitch of 1.0 mm. In my experience most brands of 95 mm filters are threaded with this pitch. However 95 mm filters made by Formatt-Hitech have a pitch of 0.75 mm and will not fit.

Q: 5. Does this fit Cabrio 19-90?

A: Yes it does. Lenses like the Fujinon ZK19-90mm T2.9 Cabrio Premier Lens (PL Mount), B&H # FUZK47X19, have a 114mm front diameter, which is the kind of attachment this adapter provides.

Q: 6. I have my 150mm - 600mm 95mm filter diameter lens and 82mm nd filter. This adapter should work right? Thanks

A: yes, should work, but i'm not sure it won't do vignetting at 150mm, most likely no, and at 600mm you will be pretty safe

A: The Leica Telephoto 90mm f/2.8 Elmarit R 3-Cam Manual Focus Lens has a 55mm filter thread. Use this adapter to mount Series 7 filters to it. General Brand 55mm-Series 7 Step-Up Adapter Ring (Lens to Filter) B&H # GBAR55S7. Use this retaining ring to hold the Series 7 filter in the adapter. General Brand Series 7 Retaining Ring B&H # GBRRS7.

Q: 8. what is the thread pitch?

A: Heliopan does not list the pitch on the Heliopan 42-39mm Step-Down Ring (#316). But standard for that size is 0.75mm thread pitch.

Q: 9. Is the outside diameter of the larger part 95mm? Or does that refer to the inside diameter?

A: The filter has an inside thread diameter of 82mm and an outside thread diameter of 95mm.

Q: 10. What is the total outer diameter of this ring? Would the outer diameter of this step up ring fit snugly into the 105mm opening of my clamp-on matte box?

A: Unfortunately, there are no published measurements we could find at current time for the exact outer diameter, but the "step down" ring that is designed to take your mounting option down to a lower number, should easily mount on an opening that matches that higher number, in this case, your 105mm opening on the matte box.

[62 mm to 46 mm] I wouldn't normally resort to a step-down ring, as they almost always result in vignetting. However, I have three macro lenses (Nikon), two of which take 52mm filters, but one requires 62mm. Fortunately, at close-up distances the field-of-view narrows, so 52mm filters work just fine. The ring is nicely made and finished, a high-quality bargain. 5

[0.045 lb] The Nikon ES-1slide adapter has a 62mm thread. The Nikon 60mm AFS Micro f2.8 has a 52mm thread. In order to use the ES1 with the 60mm Micro lens you need a Nikon BR-5 Adapter Ring 62-52mm. This Nikon ring costs $44.95. Both the Sensei 62-52mm Step-Down Ring $4.95 and this one The Pro Aluminum at $7.95 work just as well as the Nikon Ring. The threads are smooth and this Sensei Ring is in my opinion just as good as the Nikon BR-5. 5

[62 mm to 46 mm] Step-down filter adapter rings add flexibility to your filter adapter options, but a little common sense is required regarding their application. In this particular case, I wanted to use 46mm filters in a 49mm front-and-rear-threaded lens shade, which I've adapted to a 37mm threaded lens via a 37-49mm step-up ring (49mm was the smallest thread size this shade was available in, and I also needed the larger shade for unobstructed use on a wide angle lens). This works solely because the 46mm filters (I wanted to maintain this common filter size for all the lenses I have for my Lumix GX7) are sufficiently larger that the lens' 37mm thread to avoid vignetting. Trying to use 46mm filters on a 49mm threaded lens, for instance, will almost always result in vignetting (especially with wide-angles), although you might get away with it for macro applications, since optical parameters are somewhat narrower at very close focusing distances. You can buy cheaper adapter rings than Tiffen, but Made in U.S.A is worth the difference to me. 5
