  • Rechargeable battery offers intelligent power management with precision metering in hours and minutes, and zero memory effect.
  • External charging contacts allow for docked battery charging.
  • SBC220 two-bay and SBC840 eight-bay networked chargers (both available separately) allow for remote power monitoring via Shure’s Wireless Workbench software.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. does this need to be line of site? Or can it be behind several walls and still have the same distance?

A: Obstructions such as walls will negatively impact the Shure BLX24R/SM58 Rackmount Wireless Handheld Microphone System's wireless range.

Q: 2. Can i add additional 3 mic to the receiver?

A: no, you need one receiver for each microphoneon the plus side, these mics sound BEAUTIFUL

Q: 3. Does it work with old analog axient?

A: No just the new digital models.

Q: 4. What Frequency Band is best for karaoke?

A: Actually any frequency for this set of Shure, I own 6 Shure packs and they have a range for about 175 Ft . I have the H10 and the J10 series. I use at our Church.

Q: 5. Which Shure mics can it be used on? Thanks

A: The Shure KSM11 Cardioid Condenser Capsule for Shure Wireless Microphones is compatible with all Shure wireless handheld transmitters with interchangeable microphone capsules.

Q: 6. Can I use this on a current SM58 body?

A: The RPW120 is a replacement capsule for Shure wireless transmitters. Compatible with the SLX, QLX-D and ULX series wireless transmitters. Not compatible with Shure wired handheld mics.

Q: 7. When setting the receivers, side by side, where and how do I mount the antennas?

A: If mounting two BLXR receivers side by side, it is possible to front mount antennas in the rack with the UA440 kit. You can also passively combine the antennas with the UA221 kit.

Q: 8. is it ok to use with GLX-D? I have GLX-D/SM58

A: Yes it is compatible. Screws right on.

Q: 9. Can I use it for my glxd4 z2 beta 87a?

A: The microphone capsules on the GLXD2 Handheld transmitters are fully integrated (hard-wired into the transmitter) so if you are looking to switch out your current mic capsule for another, this is not possible in the GLXD Series. Your only option in that case would be to purchase another GLXD2 transmitter all together, which can in turn be used with your existing GLXD4 receiver. If you might be looking to replace the capsule because you believe it may be defective, then it is best to seek repair under warranty from Shure (additional details regarding warranty coverage and procedure for return can be found on a href= http://Shure.com target= _blank Shure.com/a).

Q: 10. Is this just plug and play what else I need to play my instruments do I have to connected to my computer and download software?

A: The Shure BLX24/SM58 Wireless Handheld Microphone System is not an audio interface and cannot connect directly to a computer. To connect this or any other microphone/wireless system to your computer, you would need an audio interface such as BH #FOSCARSOLO3G. The BLX24/SM58 Wireless Handheld Microphone System also does not have any support for connecting instruments. It comes with a handheld transmitter, although beltpack transmitters with an instrument input are available separately.

[Proprietary] This mic was super easy to pair to the main receiver unit and sounded great.

[Handheld] I use this on a Lectrosonics handheld transmitter. Top quality sound - as good as an unhyped condenser, and a tight polar pattern. And no proximity effect.

[25 kHz] I've been singing for 17 years and this microphone is hands down the best one of all Shure microphones, in my opinion. :)

[AES 256] B&H is great. They always have what I need. The product is exactly as advertised. The capsule is a great step up in quality and response from an SM58, or a Beta 87. I have found that this capsule is less prone to high frequency problems that you may find with a KSM9. Both are very nice.

[Mute Switch] Very natural sounding and easy (and pricey!) to use vocal microphone. All the stuff about huge sweet spot, controlled proximity effect, and natural midrange is true. OTOH, if you're looking for the 8kHz zing, it's missing in action.

[145 dB] I was reluctant to fork over this much money for a dynamic mic. But I had heard some great things about the KSM8, so I took a chance. I am extremely happy with that decision. Amazing, full sounding mic with a very even and pleasant tone. Plus really good feedback rejection. (i'm not working with blasting monitors as a work in the jazz world, but at the levels I'm performing at, the feedback rejection is superb.) I use it mostly with my wife who has a fairly soft soprano voice and the overall sound is flat and even thoughout the frequency range (though clear and open) with no emphasis or tones that stick out. It's kind of difficult to describe my first impression except to say that it's beefy without being muddy, and still sounding open at the top. It sounds much better than the more expensive Neumann KMS 105 she was using with much better off axis rejection. Best, most even dynamic mic I've ever used.
