The Solo 10G PCIe Card supports the NBASE-T standard of up to 5 Gb/s link speeds over CAT 5e (or better) cabling at distances up to 328' when used with a multi-Gigabit switch or router. This capability allows you to deploy the same card across an organization for users supported by different Ethernet cabling infrastructures.

The Solo 10G PCIe card's high throughput performance and low host-CPU utilization are attained through functions such as flow control, 64-bit address support for systems using more than 4GB of physical memory, and stateless offloads such as TCP, UDP, and IPv4 checksum offloading. These processes are designed to boost performance during large files transfers or high I/O operations.

Install the Solo 10G PCIe card in your computer or Thunderbolt expansion system, connect to the network switch or directly to 10 Gb/s-enabled storage, and configure the card's settings through operating system network device configuration tools.

The Solo10G PCIe Card is packaged with both full-height and low-profile mounting brackets, enabling installation of the card into most PCIe slots.

You can use the Solo 10G card in a Thunderbolt 2- or Thunderbolt 3-to-PCIe expansion chassis, or in one of Sonnet's Echo Express or xMac Thunderbolt-to-PCIe card multi-slot expansion systems. The combination allows you to add a 10 Gb/s network connection to a Mac with Thunderbolt 2 or Thunderbolt 3 ports, or a Windows PC with Thunderbolt 3 ports.

Q: 1. Can this car be added to a windows pc? Also can it be link aggregated?

A: The Synology E10G30-T2 2-Port 10G RJ45 Ethernet to PCIe 3.0 Adapter Card, B&H # SYE10G30T2, is designed to work with specific Synology NAS enclosures, it does not officially support Windows OS. Link aggregation is supported when using it with a compatible Synology NAS.

Q: 2. Is this card 3.0x8 (x8 or x16 electrical)?

A: The Synology E10G21-F2 Dual Port 10G SFP+ PCIe 3.0 Ethernet Adapter uses a PCIe 3.0 x8 electrical connection.

Q: 3. Willo this card work on a MAC PRO 5.1?

A: For use on a Mac this card requires MacOS 12.x Monterey.

Q: 4. Will this work with an early 2009 Mac Pro (4,1)?

[0.35 lb] Outstanding -- had an OWC box that claimed to do the same; fought its spotty performance for a year before buying this. Works like a charm.

[8 x 6 x 2"] I a Mac Pro 4.1 flashed to 5.1 Dual Quad Core 2.26 CPU's, AMD Radeon HD 7950 GPU Mac Edition, Samsung 870 EVO Pro NVME getting 1,400+MB/s Read Writes, 10G Card is connected using CAT6a RJ45 to MikroTik CRS312-4C+8XG 10G Switch to a Dual Port Synology SFP+ 10G+10G Card Lagged 20G to twin DAC cables to Synology RS1619xs+ using 4x IronWolf 110 SSD's in a Raid 10, Synology RX1217RP fully loaded with 12x 10TB IronWolf Pro HDD's and getting 1.3-1.75GB/s thats Gigabytes per Second Read and Writes through the Switch. MTU set to 9,000 Jumbo Frames on all equipment. Between this 10G card and installing NVME, plus the Sonnet USB3 4 port card, you'll be breathing life back into an 11 year old Mac Pro, still able to edit Video Live off a NAS/Server using Premier Pro, Photos with Lightroom off NAS/Server and much more. Bottle neck? The Internet LOL!!. Come on, where can you go wrong here. Im the original owner for this Mac Pro too.

[0.35 lb] I've got a Mac Pro (Late 2013) and using an external Thunderbolt 2 to PCI add on. I wanted to connect my Mac to 10GBe, but needed a supported card (from Mac OS X - Montery). This card works out of the box in that situation (the other version with just a SFP+ socket should work as well, I just went with this on since is was $50 cheaper at the time). You need the low profile bracket but it should come with one (mine was missing, but the manufacturer sent a replacement). It's working great!!

[0.35 lb] I purchased this to take advantage of my 3Gbps connection, my X670E Tomahawk does 2.5gGbps and I would see 2.3gbps upload/download during a speedtest.net, upon placing this card in the bottom slot and installing the driver I was back up and running in under 10 minutes on Windows 11. Now my internet connection does 3.2gbps without any downsides thanks to the gen 4 connection. I would recommend this card it was very easy to get running on W11.

[0.35 lb] I upgraded my network to 10Gb, and this little card stand out from the rest, it is probably one of the few ones that are Gen4. I tested on X4 and I was able to get 8Gb/s transfer rate (which is the limit for Gen4x4) installing drivers was simple to get the *inf file from Marvel.

I ran into an issue that on high bandwidth, the network card disconnects and required me to restart the adapter, after talking to the excellent customer services, turned out to be an old / conflicting driver that was causing the issue. removing that solved the problem.

[8 x 6 x 2"] Works great, established a 10Gbe connection from the laptop to the switch, then NAS. Didn't do any speed testing, just did enough to get it setup for now...

[0.35 lb] My third purchase of the OWC card. Replaced a 2.5 GbE card (PCIe 3.0). Actually averages 10-15 MB faster throughput speeds on file transfers @ 2.5 in the same 4.0 slot. Waiting for the QNAP QSW-M3216R-8S8T switch to be restocked at B&H to get to full 10 GbE on the network. The QNAP allows for link static aggregation. Using 2 cards in each computer, should allow 20 GbE transfers with copper. Will require additional purchases of this card to accomplish this, but well worth it for just using CAT6a and CAT8 copper. Better able keep up with the NVMe drives R/W in the computers. Well satisfied with these cards performance, especially in 10 GbE mode. (See below)
