This FotodioX WonderPana FreeArc XL for Sigma 14mm Art Lensfrom FotodioX WonderPana FreeArc XL for Sigma 14mm Art Lensis designed to specifically fit the Sigma 14mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art lens, as well as a separately available WonderPana 8.0" Holder Bracket. Those items can be combined to allow for the convenient use of two 2.0mm thick filters measuring 7.9" wide, or one 2.0mm thick filter measuring 7.9" wide, along with one FotodioX 186mm round filter behind it. A compatible 186mm inner-pinch lens cap for 186mm FotodioX round filters is also provided.

The included WonderPana FreeArc XL Core Unit consists of a compression front filter ring. Use of the WonderPana 8.0" Holder Bracket is easily accomplished by attaching its two assembly pieces to opposite sides of the FreeArc XL Core Unit using six of that holder bracket's eight included brass short-screws. Pre-tapped threaded inserts along the edge of the Core Unit accommodate those screws and ensure that the two assembly pieces are positioned parallel to each other and can hold a 7.9" wide filter between them. The combined holder bracket and front filter ring can then be attached to a Sigma 14mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art lens by tightening the Core Unit's locking mechanism.

After being fitted onto a Sigma 14mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art lens, the bearing design of this WonderPana FreeArc XL Core Unit allows a WonderPana 8.0" Holder Bracket to be rotated 360°. This permits the use of graduated neutral density and other filters that are enhanced by varied positioning.

A FotodioX WonderPana 8.0" Holder Bracket provides two pairs of filter slots, a configuration that accommodates two compatible rectangular filters. For each rectangular filter that is placed within one of the holder bracket's slots, its position is secured by integrated guides within each slot. These guides apply pressure along both sides of a filter that is sufficient to hold it in place, but permits movement of that filter. This can complement the use of graduated filters whose effect can be adjusted to better suit changing lighting conditions or creative demands by sliding them up or down within a filter slot.

This FotodioX WonderPana FreeArc XL Core Unit includes front filter threads, which allow a FotodioX 186mm round filter to be used along with a WonderPana 8.0" Holder Bracket. If a 186mm round filter is used on the attached WonderPana FreeArc XL Core Unit, the rectangular filter slot closest to the rear of the holder bracket becomes unavailable.

The FotodioX 186mm Center-Pinch Snap-On Lens Cap for Select WonderPana Systems and Filters is a 186mm front lens cap with a squeeze, spring, and snap-on mechanism. It is easy to install as well as remove and can attach to a WonderPana FreeArc XL filter holder system in order to protect the front element of a lens that any one of those systems is mounted on. Additionally, with the exception of the FotodioX Ultra Slim filters, this lens cap can be used to protect a FotodioX 186mm filter that is mounted on a FotodioX WonderPana FreeArc XL filter holder system.

Lens caps protect your lens or filter from scratches, fingerprints, and the elements when the lens or filter is not in use.

A: The hyperfocal distance at f/1.8 on a full frame camera is 12ft, meaning everything at a distance of 6ft and beyond would be in focus.

A: Thank you for your interest in Sigma products. No, This is not a Fisheye lens. The Sigma 14mm features a large 80mm aspherical lens element that effectively minimizes distortion. Please check out the Sigma 15mm F2.8 Fisheye if you are interested in a Fisheye lens.

Q: 6. Anybody have a good solution to use Vari ND filters on this lens?

A: Unfortunately there is not yet a holder that can accommodate a variable ND filter for this lens.

Q: 7. For Leica SL2, Is this lens better than Leica 16-35 regarding colors and distortion? Thanks

A: The Sigma 14mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art Lens for Leica L would be a prime (fixed focal length) lens, whereas the Leica Super-Vario-Elmar-SL 16-35mm f/3.5-4.5 ASPH. Lens would be a zoom lens. The two lenses are not often compared to one another. Unfortunately, we have not yet seen any comprehensive lens test comparing the above two lenses for distortion and chromatic aberration or color performance.

Q: 8. Is there any kind of crop factor to use this lense on a Sony A6300?

A: Any lens attached to a crop sensor camera will have 1.5x crop factor. So this on the sony a6300 will be 14mm x 1.5 = 21mm

Q: 9. safe to assume this lens is compatible with a Nikon D7200 DX body?

A: This is a FX lens. The D7200 is a DX body. So, this lens will mount on the D7200 body but be cropped to about a 21mm focal length, not 14mm.

Q: 10. Can this be used with this lens Samyang AF 14mm f/2.8 RF Lens for Canon RF ?

A: No, the Samyang AF 14mm f/2.8 Lens for Canon EF cannot work with this Fotodiox accessory.

[Aluminum] Purchased this lens for astro-video work. The Sigma 14mm 1.4 definitely is brighter than the Sony 14mm 1.8. For time exposure, it's not that big of a deal but for video I'll take any light I can get. Perfect lens for astro work, especially auroral real time video using the Sony ZV-E1, FX3 or A7SIII. 5

[1.625 lb] 145mm is a large expanse of glass and I was somewhat concerned about the optical quality of such a large filter. My concerns were without foundation though as this filter creates tack sharp images with or without polarization. Well worth the money. Easy to attach to the FotodioX Kit for the 14-24mm Nikon lens... a welcome addition to my bag. 5

[Aluminum] Have been taking pictures since age 6. Sigma design engineers have produced the most creative and artistic lens made to date. It creates amazing dynamic lines of flow which no other lens can produce. The color image quality looks the same as my Leica 24-90mm f:2.8. at 4 times the cost. The 14mm and 24-90mm are a perfect match. B & H as always, did a great delivery job with both lenses. 5

[1.625 lb] Great quality lens. Its clear, amazing in dark lighting, and great bokeh. My only issues with the lens is that it is pretty heavy and bulky. At times the auto focus for it is a little funky as well but overall great lens 5

[1x Round 186 mm] This is a great solution for polarizing a 14-24 bulb lens. I have used it and it makes a great difference in folliage and water in landscapes. It is quite large but necessarily so to cover the lens. 5

[1x Round 186 mm] Having a crop sensor camera, using the Rokinon 14mm is great for waterfall photos since I can get real close to my subject. However, not having a polarizer, the photos were never as good as I wanted them. Now I can get remove the glare and really start to enjoy the lens. Just remember, if you use this filter to darken a blue sky on a 14mm lens without clouds, the sky will look terrible but this is not what this polarizer and lens combo is for. 5

[Aluminum] I own a Rokinon lens that I use for astrophotography, but it is incredibly difficult to get tack sharp photos especially of the foreground. I did some research, the Sigma lens was well-reviewed, I bought it, and it arrived just in time for a clear night to photograph the Milky Way and star trails. The Sigma lens performed exceptionally well, and I was able get tack sharp foreground with the Milky Way in the background. I am very happy with the lens!! 5
