[9.9 lb] I've only been working as a videographer for about two years, mostly part time, but every now and then I get a great gig to work on during my vacation time. I decided to purchase the Dracast LED 2000 Fresnel because I was going to be traveling to Central America to work on a travel documentary, and I wanted a portable and lightweight LED panel that would be easy and convenient to carry. I also wanted to find something that wouldn't over heat in the hot tropical climates of Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. I feel like I made a great choice. Not only did the Dracast LED 2000 Fresnel deliver on my expectations of convenience and portability, but I can also give it great marks for things like energy saving (I get up to two hours on it, depending on how I am using it), while still providing excellent beam intensity and long distance capabilities. It's essentially an LED fresnel. The color quality is impressively accurate, offering a pure light and no funky color tints. I also appreciated the built in DMX controls that I could control with my external panel. Highly recommended accessory.

[LCD] Professional lights are a dime a dozen, but all of them only have partial parts that are great. This LED fresnel takes the cake because it does everything that it says it does, and there is no complicated part to it. It's a light that works great, with no unneeded bells and whistles. If you are a videographer (semi- or pro), you'll find the light weight capability of this LED panel is great for whatever your needs are. It easily portable so that you can move yourself to the scene you are filming, but still maintains the professional quality you require. It will not get hot and the light output is perfect for what you're looking for. Since it is a LED fresnel light, you'll see that it has all of the fresnel advantages, like the beam intensity and the longer distance that it illuminates. The LED portion comes into play by the energy-efficient and other pros to having a LED light. Just by infusing these two elements alone, it's already a great product. The color accuracy with this LED fresnel light is a huge plus. You don't have to worry about strange tints or color hues creeping into the purity and strength of the light even if you use it for the 2 hours straight. You can count on the color temperature to stay constant and consistent as long as the light is in use. Since it has built-in DMX controls, you are able to control everything with an external DMX panel. This LED fresnel light is all about bringing you the best light out there, and with all of the needs you require. This is better than a panel, and it's portable...pretty fantastic, don't you think?

[150 W ] Had a chance to try out the 200-c and I was impressed with the quality of light and how seamlessly the app gives you control of all the full color settings. A big bonus was the ability to use pro photo accessories with this unit!

[1650 to 8000K] All the promises of LED technology manifested. It's bright, color-changing, portable, and doesn't get hot. It's surprisingly small and light for the output -- sans reflector it could almost be carried in a purse. Color rendition seems great, super easy to match to other sources or practicals. The controls (phone app!) make this plain old fun to use. It's quickly become my go-to key.

[9.9 lb] I bought this Sola 4+ fresnel for use as a back light in a typical 3 point lighting scenario. It fits the bill quite well I think. I considered the ARRI L5 for this because it is bi-color, but my budget didn't quite allow for it, so the Sola 4+ was the next best option. The Sola 4+ is light enough to place on a boom without excessive counterweights and allows for easy rigging. The fixture is mostly plastic which gives it a bit of a cheap feel however. The barn doors have plastic hinges but the doors are aluminum. Considering the plastic makes it light weight, which is a huge bonus if you are travelling with this fixture, I think it is a reasonable trade off. The focus range allows fine tuning and quite a narrow spot. Fan is quite enough that most audio situations would not pick it up. The fixture has a small form factor but it packs a pretty good punch for its size. Because it is only daylight balanced, I purchased the 5 piece CTO pack which includes a opal frost diffusion. Not sure I will use the DMX function but it's nice to know it's there incase I do. Overall, I think this light is a pretty good value but it needs to be handled and packed carefully to avoid possible damage. I gave the Sola 4+ five stars because it met my expectations based on the advertising and published specs. Now Litepanels needs to make a bi-color version of this fresnel to truly perfect it!

[150 W ] The color saturation and range on this unit is superb. I was blown away by the spectrum covered by this unit. In particular the super deep reds and blues where other LED units fall short. The controls are precise and you can dial in about any color imaginable.

The IP rating allows use in damp environments which is also a huge plus, not something you will find in many competing lamps or soft lights. I also like the fact that you can use profoto modifiers as necessary.

[9.9 lb] The light is awesome - built solid and barely heats up at all. IOS app is somewhat better than the Android app at this point, but that may change with updates. Our experience with Hive customer service was amazing. Super quick response and follow through. They set the bar for how customer service should be done! I want to purchase more devices from these guys, just because I know they will be there should I ever have issues. Again, great product, incredible service!

[150 W ] This light is the best in the game, period. We have two of these lights that we use for every production, no questions asked. They're small and compact and are a must if you travel often for productions. It's portable and can fit in any pelican alongside the rest of your camera gear. One light with a chimera soft box can serve as the perfect key and/or fill, and the wide range of colors makes it really versatile for any interview environment.


Do be aware, it can overheat. We had one that had the o-ring around the LED on the front face melt off in a really humid interview environment. Hive quickly replaced it though, no questions asked.

[150 W ] I was fortunate enough to use this 200-C Hive sent me to Demo for my latest music video I filmed. I own 2 Wasp 100-c's and love them..I appreciated the increased power output and used it with my soft box/grid for the music video. I love the presets that they come with. I used the club light one for the film. I would highly recommend this more powerful one if you are considering between the wasp 100-c and this one..Hope this helps.
