The AJA KONA HDMI 4-Channel Capture Card HD UltraHDis an 8-lane PCIe multi-channel HDMI capture card. Suitable for multiple workflows such as gaming, streaming, VJ-ing, live events switching, vlogging, VR, post, and broadcast, this powerful card boasts support for dual-channel capture up to 4K/UltraHD 60p or four-channel capture up to 2K/HD 60p.

KONA HDMI provides four full-size HDMI ports that can be used to switch, stream, or capture up to four channels of 2K/HD 60p via HDMI 1.4b with appropriate

third-party software. It supports up to 8 channels of embedded audio per input for a total of 32 channels of audio, while supporting video from SD to DCI 4K (including HD and UHD) at up to 60p 4:2:2 10-bit. Capture requires available software (not included).

KONA HDMI is well suited to live streaming and switching with up to 4-channels of 1080p HDMI video capture. Connect up to four HDMI outputs from a mix of cameras, game stations, presentation systems, and more and switch between them seamlessly with optional software. The KONA HDMI can be utilized for live streaming and events production via Telestream Wirecast, vMix and other third-party software. It is also supported by both the AJA SDK as well as Video for Linux (V4L2), making it an excellent choice for developers of multichannel HDMI ingest, switching, monitoring, and communication solutions.

KONA HDMI offers unique and powerful dual channel 4K/UltraHD capture all the way up to 60p over HDMI 2.0. For dual-channel capture, you can download for free the AJA Control Room software, which allows you to capture and create digital media for use in your editing or effects package of choice.

The KONA HDMI provides support for accepting HDR signals captured over HDMI from gaming stations like the PS4 Pro.

A: The AJA card is probably priced higher than the Decklink from Blackmagic because the AJA card can do up/down/cross-conversion if you need to rescale anything.

[0.7 lb] There is no better solution for HD/SD video producers. This AJA powering Mac not only with video but also with PS! Strongly recommended. Also, if you work with P2 you can find P2 to FCS transferring boost! 5

[0.7 lb] I'm a big fan of these capture cards. I've tried Black Magic's cheaper version of these cards and they were riddled with bugs. Their thunderbolt mini recorders were just as bad and unreliable. These cards run for sever hours a day, 5 days a week in our studio and have held up strong for the past two years. In regards to the loud fan issue using Mac products, I'm happy to say Magewell remedied this issue with the release of their 12/2019 drivers from their site. The card doesn't run at 100% fan speed anymore and is much quieter than ever. The old saying applies to this product you get what you pay for. These cards are worth the price. 5

[0.7 lb] This is a popular card for having a good line TBC for interlaced video. This is what you want for capturing old home movies, whereas more expensive cards from BlackMagic that offer analog video/s-video have issues. So it is actually a really good deal for what it offers. I might have to order a second card as a back-up. 5

[PCIe 2.0] Solid as always , stable as always. The longest i've spent waiting for a response from Tech Support was about 5- 10 Mins. And guess what .... I was the one doing something wrong ...... Fantastic products as Always. Cant wait to get my hands on a Cion. 5
