The OG-UDC 3G-SDI Up, Down, Cross-Converter Card with DashBoard Support from AJA is an openGear-compatible card that performs up, down, and cross-conversion on SD, HD, and 3G-SDI formats. Designed for use in 2 RU, high-density openGear frames, the OG-UDC is controlled by DashBoard network control software supported by Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.

The OG-UDC offers a 3G-SDI input and output, an HDMI output, and two 3-pin terminal block connectors for stereo analog audio output. Up to 16 channels of audio can be embedded on the 3G-SDI input and output, while the HDMI output can handle up to eight channels of embedded digital audio. AJA conversion technology ensures high image quality with resolutions up to 1080p50/60.

Please note: OG-UDC supports 3G-SDI Level A only. 3G-SDI Level B is not supported. OG-UDC passes through embedded audio ancillary data only. It does not pass through other types of embedded ancillary data.

A: The mini-USB port is used only for device control (using Windows-only software) and firmware updates.Google dac-70 manual for more info.

A: The HDMI and SDI outputs will both be active on the DAC-70. You will be able to convert HDMI to SDI and also use the HDMI output.

Q: 7. Can this be used between Sony FS7 & FOR A - HVS 110 4 K switcher ? If so what is the maximum distance cable we can use for live switching ?

A: Sorry, can't help. I sent it back. I was using it between an X70 or A7s and Odyssey 7Q, and it got unreasonably hot in minutes.

Q: 8. Can it convert a DVI input to HD-SDI using a DVI to HDMI Cable?

A: If you are converting a DVI-D to HDMI, then yes that should be no problem. You will have to also factor in audio. your DVI to HDMI conversion will need to embed the the audio into the HDMI stream.

Q: 9. Eternally grateful for your input... If input VGA at 1024x768 and it is set to output at 1080, will I see pillar boxes and a slight letterbox at the top since it is outputting 1:1 or will it fit to the vertical height? How about for 720? Thanks!!! Steve

A: We are using it similar to what you are describing. If you put VGA in and set output to 1080 it will be full screen. As far as 720, we have not used it yet.Lenny

[1.1 lb] I also use this to scale VGA up to 1080 and the image is shockingly good. I followed the instructions to set the dip switches, plugged it in and was up and running instantly. Super easy, great image, and worth every penny 5

[10 to 90% ()] Love these things. We have 4 of them and we use them as converters, signal extenders and signal splitters. They are so handy to have and have never failed us. The dip switches can be a little hard to get at because they are recessed so much but other than that I love the DAC70. 5
