Build a VENICE studio rig with the SHAPE 19mm Studio Sliding Baseplate for Sony VENICE. The sliding studio bridgeplate conforms to the ARRI standard and has clamps for properly spaced 19mm studio rods for securing a lens support, follow focus, matte box, or other accessory. A pair of 12" rods is included for that purpose. Slide the bridgeplate along the included 12" ARRI-standard dovetail to achieve balance atop a tripod or other grip equipment. For finer adjustment, the riser plate also slides back and forth for camera positioning relative to the bridgeplate. Assembly tools and camera mounting screws are included inside a magnetic tool box that fits beneath the plate.

[5 lb] Not much to say. I wanted to use the BSA-1 shoulder pad with the Sony F55, and it works! BH was unable to verify compatibility, so I reached out to Arri directly, and they were able to confirm compatibility. I've since purchased a BPA-5 and a BPS-2 for mounting the camera on a dovetail. If you're using an F55 in 2024, you're using Arri PCA, and you want to modernize your support hardware, this is an outstanding solution. For those who are wondering, this part (as well as the Arri f55 baseplate) are compatible with the Burano as well. 5

[5 lb] This is one of the best and most versatile supports on the market. Managing lens changes and all the ways you have to lock them down to exist in a full cine workflow can be a chore. Having a support that is not only well made but has a design that allows it to be a solid option for both 19 and 15mm rod standards AND having accessories and configurations that allow photo and cine lenses of any size that I have thrown at it, is VERY valuable. 5

[Sony VENICE] This is a great 19mm and 15mm Rod plate. Solid, good built, great design. There's only one catch to think of. If you look at all other 15/19 rod accessories, you will see the 15mm holes slightly adjusted higher so they are on the same height as the 19mm holes. The Cavision has the 15 and 19 holes aligned right down the center. It's not a problem for my setup, but it is something to think about. 5

[Baseplate] Helps fit your pinky round the base of the camera. I don't have an arca swiss tripod yet, but I'll probably get one now that this is compatible. The extra weight is noticable, but it makes the camera feel very well balanced. More sturdy in a way. I think it's a worthwhile purchase. 5

[Baseplate] Fits the a6700 perfectly, and gives just that little bit extra grip to make the camera more comfortable to hold. I also like the built in compatibility with Arca Swiss ball heads. 5

[8 x 7 x 4"] What a perfect addition to the A6700 body. Gives you that pinky grip area. Is built so very solid allowing easy hookup to a Arca-Swiss mount on tripod or monopod. Very clever swing out arm to allow for easy access to one's battery as well. What a great design. 5
