A must-have for this light. Very easy to put together.

I use my Astra LED lights for one on one interviews and softening the lights using silks and stands and shot bags is a chore when time is short. The Chimera Pop Bank eliminates all of that and does exactly what I need. I will be ordering more of them.

I had bought this soft box for my Lupo Superpanel. I could never get my snapbag soft box to secure to the light. Also it’s aputure was too small to make a difference.
The chimera version is awesome! It is secure, it comes with levels of diffusion and I can still use my grid and other fabrics from my older chimera softbox.
My only gripe is finding the correct way of refolding the softbox back into its pouch. But other than that, I’m very happy with it.

These barndoors are a perfect fit for my SP-E500 fixtures. They attached tightly to the instruments and function perfectly. I've been wanting this attachment since I got the lights several years ago and pleasantly surprised when Generay made them available. Works like a champ!

I have the Aputure Soft box and have disliked it sense I first bought my first nova months ago. I recently bought another nova and decided to give this one a chance as I've used this system for skypanels for a long time.


The build quality and the ease of use of this soft box is perfect for the nova and I actually see myself using my Nova more because of it.


The only thing I wish was different is that this came with a grid. To have to pay an additional $200 plus for a grid is robbery haha.

The Pop Bank is easy to attach to the Litepanel Astra. 1x1 LEDs can be harsh at times. The Pop Bank helps to soften and smooth the source out.

I have two of the earlier model (SP-E-500B) lights and have struggled with makeshift barndoors, so I was thrilled with B&H's product alerts letting me know when these were available.

I can report that these do fit perfectly on the SP-E-500B lights.

These doors are well made, with excellent fit and finish and just enough weight to let you know they're going to last. They mounted easily in a couple of minutes with nicely finished thumbscrews, attaching to the top and bottom center mounting holes. They open and close smoothly and stay where you put them. They fold up nicely, adding only about 1/2 to the lights when packing them up.

I'm not a fan of the snap bag/pop bag design in general. However these fit great on my gemini 2x1's, and stay in place. It was a good up between these and the foo choice and i went with this because it was about $200 or so less. I feel like it should have 1/4 grid in addition to the full and 1/2 grids that come with it. Overall I'm very satisfied and would buy it again if I had another light

Couldn't be easier and more useful to use. This style pop bank stays seated on the light correctly unlike some of the older styles that would slide off sideways and never really seat correctly. I own two of these pop banks and would highly recommend them!
