Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does the support lock on the 15mm rods? In other words, is the locking lever only for the post or does it lock both the post and the support to the rods simultaneously ?

A: The lever does the rods. The knob tightens the rod support.

Q: 2. I have zacuto recoil rig, V1 for my Sony fs5. Will this work suitable for my Nikon 70-200mm? Or is there another suitable lens support system that can screw into the foot of the lens?

A: It will work. You can always use the cradle. My issue is the shaft that goes vertically through the bridge is too long. If that is not an issue for you then this is a good deal.

Q: 3. What is the weight rating for this lens support? As it supports 50 to 200mm, with the links are only certain specific lens diameters within that supported?

A: Cavision does not have a listed weight support but the Adjustable Height Lens Support is a metal construction and strong. It supports lenses from 50 to 200mm in diameter.

Q: 4. Is the height fully adjustable like the smallrig? Or can you just choose between fixed position depending on the extension you choose?

A: Yes, the height is adjustable.

Q: 5. Does this match with a Canon RF 28-70mm f/2 L USM Lens paired with Tilta Tiltaing Lightweight Camera Support Kit for Canon C70?

A: As long as you place the Tilta 15mm LWS Rod Lens Support in a position that isn't on a focus or zoom gear, it will support as needed.

Q: 6. What's the minimum height you can achieve with the 1/4" adapter attached? I have 1cm clearance between the tip of the rod and the foot of the lens. Need to bolt it in as a v-mount still allows the lens to move.

A: Tilta has informed us that the minimum height is 2 inches on the Tilta 15mm LWS Rod Lens Support with the 1/4"-20 adapter.

Q: 7. will this fit fine onto my sony A6300 & A7iii?

A: You are able to screw this into the bottom of your Sony cameras.

Q: 8. what is the maximum height of the lens support rod? The Tilta universal support has a max of .875" and the Small Rig support is 22mm, (roughly .866")

A: According to 8Sinn the maximum height of this lens support is 80mm.

Q: 9. What is the minimum height achievable with the smallest 1/4" 20 post? I have a clearance of about 1.1-1.2cm.

A: Yes, The 8Sinn Universal Lens Support (15mm) will support your requirements. One of the extension posts in the Lens support kit is 1.8cm (18mm high) and it can be set to support the lens with a clearance of 1.1-1.2cm (which is 11 to12mm),

Q: 10. Would this fit in the Canon LH-E1 lens support (#CALHE1) if I remove the Y support part?

A: Yes, the Tilta 15mm LWS Rod Lens Support would fit in the bottom of the Canon LH-E1 Lens Holder after removing the Y lens adapter and using the included 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 adapter.

[5 x 4.9 x 1.3"] Expensive, yes, but they're lightweight and you'll have them for the next 25 years. I have to say they look pretty sharp on various cameras, too.

[5 x 4.9 x 1.3"] This product compares favorably in quality to those that cost many times more and serves several functions.
1. Braces your 15mm rods.
2. Accepts attachments through the threaded holes along the top.
3. Supports heavy lenses with lens support in the up position.
4. And perhaps BEST OF ALL, when the lens support is in the down position, provides a stable base for your camera when placing on the floor/table, etc, keeping it from tipping over, regardless of the height of the baseplate you have on your camera. Since I only need a lens support a small part of the time, I'm more interested in having a convenient way to set my camera/cage down without the whole rig tipping over. This product does that in an economical and handsome way.

Camvate is gaining a well-deserved reputation for turning out quality products and bargain prices.

[0.3 lb] Expensive but you get what you pay. These are made to highest of standards and the 19mm rods are deceptively light weight. Especially if you've ever used stainless steel 19mm rods.

Despite the very low weight, these still feel very strong.

[0.3 lb] These are great rods, they look good, and have less give than heavier rods, similar in weight to carbon fiber and way strong.

[Aluminum Alloy] Building a LUMIX MFT shoulder rig with Tilta Nano follow-focus. The DG Vario-Summilux 10-25 and 25-50 1.7 zooms have a little lateral flex that causes the Nano to skip teeth on the focus ring and shake the (beautiful) lens. The Cavision lens support is exactly the solution, holding the lens steady against the lateral push of the follow-focus gear. Kudos to B&H support for finding this product; just ordered a second unit.

[50 to 140mm] The Drumstix are just as stiff but lighter than stainless steel rods. As such, they are an excellent alternative.

They do exactly what they are supposed to do.

[Aluminum Alloy] I've got nearly every length of these multiple pairs for multiple camera packages in some lengths. I used to have all the nickel plated Element Technica rods...they were light and strong...these are also light and strong. No flexing problems like with some of the carbon fibre rods.
