Waves VU Meter Plug-In (Native/SoundGrid, Download)is an audio metering plug-in that enables you to record and mix on your DAW, using the classic console VU meter design. The meter averages out loud and soft peaks, mimicking the way your ears react to sound and giving you a more realistic visual representation of the way audio level changes are perceived. A proven industry standard for decades, across multiple musical genres and platforms, this metering method helps you set proper recording levels, build a well-balanced gain structure, and mix with adequate headroom to achieve clear and spacious mixes.

VU Meter comes with mono and stereo components and can be inserted on individual tracks when recording and/or across the master bus for a precise visual reference of your mix's overall levels. The plug-in provides an accurate ballistic response with smooth movement, fast refresh rate, and a clip indicator.

Q: 5. can this be fit on a Rokinon 14mm 2.8 lens?

Q: 9. Will this ring work on my IRIX 11mm Blackstone for Nikon Lens? ( trying to find a filter system )

A: No, the Vu Filters 150mm Professional Filter Holder 127mm Lens Ring will not fit on the IRIX 11mm f/4 Blackstone Lens for Nikon F. The Irix lens will accept 30 x 30mm cut gel filters at the rear of the lens.

Q: 10. How does the VU compare with the B+W?

A: Both brands are rated very high as filters go. And within each brand there are ones that are multi-coated and not. In general it is important that a filter be multi-coated. That helps limit flair. Optically they again are very good but some prefer B+W over the other. And just a note that the specific Vu filter does not have front threads.
