Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I don't see a screw on the umbrella socket. How do you tighten an umbrella?

A: The unit offers no screw as it is based of a spring loaded umbrella shaft that is built in.

Q: 2. Is this compatible with the Godox AD600 Pro?

A: I think it is, because the flash tube socket looks difference from H600 but same with 600pro

Q: 3. I'm interested in mounting on my camera's hot shoe. I see that it tilts but does it swivel?

A: While the end of the extension with the shoe mount can fit a camera's hot shoe, there is no circuitry in the shoe to fire it. It meant for extending the flash head of the AD200 further off of a light stand and it still requires one of the X series transmitters to fire it.

Q: 4. Is this the 'EC200 version 1' or the fixed 'EC200 version 2' where two units can be mounted in the AD-B2?

A: this is the ec200 v2 unit.

Q: 5. Will this work on flashpoint xplor 600 pro?

A: Yes, highly recommend the Godox DP600PRP Extension Head when using large light shaping tools as the unit is know to be top heavy.

Q: 6. How long is the line length?

A: It is a six-foot cable (1.83m) and therefore correctly described in the other answer. This cable is three feet shorter than that of the extension head for the original AD600 so as to reduce the voltage drop. Because of that, the effect on the intensity of the light is a drop of only about 0.1 stops, which is absolutely minimal and excellent! Now, if you want to mount this extension head more than six feet above the ground, you can typically attach the AD600 Pro to the riser (i.e. vertical column) your C-stand or strong light stand with a super clamp and snap-in pin (A.K.A. spigot) so that it is within six feet of the extension head. Q: 7. What are the specs on that modeling light led?

A: The modeling lamp for this extension head is 38 watts.

Q: 8. So nice to see that this has been upgraded. Is there a cable that allows you to connect two 600 Pro units to a 1200 w flash head

A: Yes, please review the following item. Godox AD-H1200B Portable 1200Ws Extension Head BH #GOADH1200 • MFR #AD-H1200 https://bhpho.to/3Ona8Tb

Q: 9. How do i use this with the new triggers like the Xpro?

A: This is for the AD200 Flash. It allows you to take the head of the body off the flash. The Xpro functionality is not changed.

Q: 10. What is the best way to secure the body of the AD600 Pro to the light stand after you attach this extension unit?

A: You may purchase a super clamp with a 5/8" stud such as the Impact Super Clamp with Ratchet Handle, B&H # IMCC106R • MFR # CC-106R, and the Impact 5/8" Snap-In Pin for Super Clamps (Black), B&H # IMSRP107 • MFR # SRP-107, which would then allow you to connect the Godox DP600PRP Extension Head for AD600Pro Flash Head to your light stand. https://bhpho.to/3iZLE5i https://bhpho.to/3wn1LwL

[Proprietary] moves the weight from top to bottom of stands and boom poles, makes shooting outdoors a lot easier and less prone to wind blowing stands over or fatigue from holding/carrying heavy lights

[0.9 lb] This is a great accessory, which allows you to mount your AD2OO lower on a nightstand saving it in case of a fall. Also it works quite well on a boom for a assistant to use.

[6' / 1.8 m] It’s hard for me to use the AD200 without this EC200 extension head now, as it maintains the same level of power but allows me to have very little weight at the top of my light stand. I’ve also bought a pouch for the AD200 that I can use to clip the AD200 to the stand while this extension head is attached, essentially using the flash body as a stabilizing weight. It’s a great product that has quickly become a necessity in my gear bag!

[0.9 lb] When you or your help have to work for an extended hours make the job less excruciating buy shifting the weight of your batteries and not your back.

[6' / 1.8 m] I was searching for a small, lightweight strobe that I could put on the end of a pole to supplement my Godox AD200. I was ready to drop $300 on a mini speed light when the sales associate showed me this. It's such a great value if you already have a AD200 setup! It's portable and it accepts the modifiers that I already. I use the AD200 body to counterbalance my light stand. Such a cool product.

[0.9 lb] I really like this product. Now I can use the Godox AD 200 Pro like a flash or just put the battery 6 feet down the lightstand.

[6' / 1.8 m] Godox makes good gear and sells it at reasonable prices. More than that, they are creative in the way that you can use their gear. This is one of those pieces. A studio flash that converts to a high powered speed-lite using this very piece of kit. Great addition for little money

[6' / 1.8 m] Yes, this does cut the power down by about half (not exactly, but close). However, if you want to put your AD200 body down low to stabilize the stand, this lets you do that.

Speed: For the same manual power setting on the flash, the flash duration is about the same with the extension or without. For the same power at the subject, flash duration will be longer when the extension is used.
