[10-24 V] I shoot video at events and concerts, recently mostly with photo-first cameras like a Sony A7 and A9, with an external monitor/recorder (Atomos Ninja V). The Sony FZ100 battery only lasts about 2.5 hours, much less if used to record internally. An external USB batter only provides about half the power needed by the Sony.

The dummy batter adapter replaces the FZ100 in the camera. The camera displays a warning after a few minutes, which goes away once cancelled. I have found no excessive heating nor any other deleterious effects using this device.

I use Vari-Zoom NP1 or Anton Bauer video batteries for power. Both have D-Tap ports. They give me the freedom to operate out of reach of line power - all day if necessary.

[60" / 152 cm] Seeing that this is really the only option for what it is, I was really banking on it to work. Thankfully this works very nicely. Only complaint I have is that the fitment of the dummy battery in the camera isn't too snug but it will still clip into place just fine. Very satisfied with this purchase. I would highly recommend this for anyone who's trying to power their XT cameras with a v mount.

[0.19 lb] This dummy battery by GyroVu D-Tap works perfectly with my CORE SWX PowerBase Battery. Highly recommend this as a solution for the XT4 or others.

[10-24 V] Put this into my RX10iv for an all-night timelapse, which is beyond the capability of the single battery. Worked fine for 12 hours with lots of charge left in the USB power pack. RX10iv can run on USB power directly, but the only USB port has to be used for the interval timer, so the dummy battery is necessary. The RX100vii has a built-in interval timer, but that wasn't included on the RX10iv.

[4.5 A] I am using this on my Z90V w/ DJI RS2 powering both the camera and monitor. It brings down the weight while adding long lasting power.
