Add colorful flares to your photos with the Micro Four Thirds Mount to Minolta MD Lens FotodioX ArtFX ColorFlare MFT to Minolta MD Adapterfrom FotodioX. This adapter intentionally lets light in between the lens and image sensor to create a natural, controllable flare to your photos or videos. A transparent slit sits at the base of the mount and can be covered by one of five transluscent colored bands. Simply slide your desired color (orange, red, green, blue, or purple) onto the adapter and begin shooting. Two of the included black light blocking bands have holes in them for even more precise control over the flares. The solid metal construction of the adapter ensures it will hold up with use.

Be aware that autofocus, image stabilization, metering, and other electronic lens functions will be disabled when the adapter is used.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I understand about the altered focal length, but what is the quality of the image: sharpness, contrast, etc.?

A: Image quality is fair, remember there is a glass element in the adapter to allow for infinity focus.

Q: 2. I am interested in purchasing Minolta MD 35-70mm F3.5-4.8 and getting an adapter for my Nikon d&50 - will this work?

A: Yes, it will work, manually only.

Q: 3. I want to use my old Minolta SR mount lenses (28-135 Astron Zoom and Tamron 300mm Tele) on my new Nikon D7200. I know the Fotodiox adapter will do the trick but confused about the multiplication factors. I note that in one foram answer the it says that an 85mm lens becomes (equiv.) to 119mm due to 1.4x 85 but has to be multiplied again, ie 119 x 1.5 = 178.5mm when DX format is taken into account. Another answer says for a D7000 (which is DX) you only multiply the focal length by the 1.4x (on a 600mm in this case, becoming 840mm).I thought the 1.4x factor was for the difference between FX and DX. Would my 300mm become equivalent to 420mm, 450mm or 420 x 1.5 = 620? I was under the impression that on a full frame FX, the lens stays as same focal length and only multiplied when using on DX format as are the D7000 series.

A: Dont let all of this multiplication factor information confuse you. The 1.4 factor mentioned in the documentation is referring to the fact that it includes a lens in the adaptor to correct for the difference of the lens from the original Nikon Camera mount flange. That pertains to focus only and not crop factor. It is included to eliminate any focus issue so you dont have to worry about that. What you need to know is your Minalta mount lenses will only work in manual focus when used on your Nikon D7200 with this adaptor. You should still get focus confirmation in your viewfinder with this combination though. You will also want to configure the lenses individually in the Non-CPU setup menu for accurate metering. The 1.5 crop factor you have heard or read about is a separate concern than the mentioned 1.4 focus correction lens included in this adaptor as I discussed above. An FX (full frame) lens will have a 1.5 crop factor on a DX (APS-C cropped) sensor camera such as your Nikon D7200. I hope this helps.

Q: 4. Can you recommend a small felt pouch or case that would fit this lens adapter?

A: To be honest, I leave it on the lens and keep the whole lens in a lens bag/pouch.

Q: 5. Is there any iris control of the EF lens?

A: No, there is not. The FotodioX ArtFX ColorFlare Micro Four Thirds Mount to Canon EOS Lens Adapter is a manual adapter, so lens functions that rely on electronic communication with the camera body (autofocus, AE metering, image stabilization, etc.) will be disrupted. Also, the lens adapter does not have a built-in aperture ring. If your lens does not have a manual aperture control ring, the lens aperture will revert to its default position (which, for Canon lenses, would be the wide-open aperture setting). You would not be able to adjust your lens' aperture if your lens does not have its own aperture ring.

Q: 6. how are you going to not show an example?

A: You may visit the manufacturer's website or their YouTube page to view examples of the FotodioX ArtFX ColorFlare FUSION Smart AF Adapter.a href= https://fotodioxpro.com/products/artfx-clrflr-eos-snye-fusion target= _blank https://fotodioxpro.com/products/artfx-clrflr-eos-snye-fusion/a

Q: 7. Does this also work on Minolta MC?

A: Yes this FotodioX Minolta MD Lens Adapter also works with Minolta MC.

Q: 8. Will a Minolta X370 lens work with a Nikon F2 when using this adapter? Thanks.

A: Yes. The FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Minolta MD Lens to Nikon F Mount Camera will allow you to use MD mount lenses from the X370 on a Nikon F2. There is a 1.4x teleconverter in the adapter in order to maintain infinity focus so your lenses will appear magnified.

Q: 9. Will this work on Nikon D5300 camera ?

A: The FotodioX Adapter for Minolta MD-Mount Lens to Nikon F-Mount will work on the Nikon D5300.

Q: 10. What's the net weight of this adapter?

A: Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not provided the net weight of this product to us. It would be recommended that you contact them for more detailed specifications than those that they have published. The package weight is 0.25 lb so it will be less than that, but we do not have a specific weight for it.

[Metal] I wanted to use my many Minolta manual lenses on my Nikon D-3200. This did the job perfectly. It takes clear photos with no distortion.

[Metal] The Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Minolta MD to Nikon F Mount lens adapter works great. It has allowed me to take advantage of my large Minolta MD lens collection.

[Metal] I started with the $50 adapter made by R.J.Camera. That was serviceable, but would focus past infinity, and had a slight amount of play due to relaxed machining tolerances. Now I see the difference that the Novoflex adapter makes. It focuses precisely on infinity, and there is no play at all on my Olympus Pen E-P2. Definitely worth the extra cost. The other reviews should be stricken, since the adapter does work on any Micro Four Thirds camera. For Panasonics it is necessary to set the menu option release without attached lens to ON. No such shenanigans are required with an Olympus.

[Metal] I have some good lenses, wide angle, telephoto and f1.2 low light Minolta lenses that I wanted to use with my new Nikon 7100 camera. I bought this adapter and am well pleased with it. I know how to shoot in manual mode and it works well, saving me a lot of money.

[Metal] I have purchased several cheap cast adapters, all had problems with, focus past infinite, rotating slightly. This thing is rock solid with no movement whatsoever
