Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. It looks like the bag would hold a Nikon D7200 with battery grip and Nikon 200-500 mm lens attached. Will it?

A: No. Would not suggest the following bag as it is not designed for gripped bodies with long glass.

Q: 2. Will the bag hold a Nikon D500 with the battery grip attached?

A: You could fit it, but the sling was definitely designed to for the body without the grip. It will just bulge out a bit in front.

Q: 3. Will this hold a Nikon D850 with 24mm F/1.8G lens and Nikon D7200 with 18-300mm F/3.5-6.3 zoom lens?

A: Yes, the Tenba Solstice Sling Bag (10L, Black) can hold the Nikon D850 DSLR Camera with the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24mm f/1.8G ED Lens mounted, and the Nikon D7200 DSLR Camera with an 18-300mm lens. It may be a bit tight, but it will all fit.

Q: 4. Will this bag hold a Nikon d700 with a Nikon 24-120 f4 lens (attached)? What about with the lens hood on?

A: Yes, the Tenba Solstice Sling Bag (10L, Black) will hold the Nikon D700 DSLR Camera with the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-120mm f/4G ED VR Lens and lens hood attached.

Q: 5. How do you attach a water bottle?

A: The side pocket can be used for either a water bottle, tripod or monopod.

Q: 6. With the dividers removed, will this hold a Fuji X-T4 with the Fuji 150-600mm lens (with the hood reversed)?

A: Yes Tenba Solstice Sling Bag (10L, Blue) will hold a Fuji XT4 with the Fuji 150-600mm lens (with the hood reversed).

Q: 7. What are the 2 sets of straps integrated into the front for, there are no provided lash straps to take advantage of them?

A: According to the manufacturer, the front loops on the Tenba Solstice Sling Bag (10L, Black) are largely for looks, but there is a small function, too. The side compression straps can thread under the loops to let you lash a jacket or other item to the front of the bag. As such, you may use the front loops as additional attachment points.

Q: 8. Would this fit a Canon EOS R3 with RF 24-70L attached?

A: Unfortunately Tenba Solstice Sling Bag (10L, Black) is too small for the Canon R3 with a lens mounted.

Q: 9. Will the 7L fit a Sony FE 200-600 attached to Sony a7cr?

A: The 200-600mm lens is 12.6" long, and the sling bag is 13.5, so a lens that long will not fit attached to a camera. However, the 7L sling bag will easily fit a Sony camera attached to either a 70-200mm 2.8 or 100-400mm.

Q: 10. Was curious if someone could provide dimensions of interior (main) compartment. I can't find it on Tenba website or here, only the exterior dimensions. Would anyone be willing to measure the area?

A: We have measurements from a helpful person: "the interior is 16" tall, about 8 ¾" wide at the bottom of the bag, tapering to 7-7 ½" wide at the top, and about 3 ¾" deep.

[Yes] Sports shooting, Carry on bag, short back country bag. This is it. I can fit my Nikon D500 with my Nikor 18-140mm attached, along with my nikkor 70 - 300mm. I still have room for one more lens or other gear. I can also carry extra cards and batteries. Small enough to carry with the sling comfortably without looking like you're carrying a backpack. I looked at a lot of bags and am glad I picked this one.

[Yes] Tenba is one of my favorite brands for camera bags and cases and this sling is no exception. Like all Tenba, it is well made and comfortable to carry. Fits 2 Fujifilm bodies with short lenses mounted. Has extra compartments for accessories.

[1.62 lb] I've tried out or researched a long of side-access slings and backpacks, and almost none have a wide enough opening to access two cameras with attached lenses. The Solstice 10L has room for two mirrorless cameras with moderate-size zoom lenses side by side, with room for an additional lens, all equally accessible. Beyond that it's nicely minimalist and very light.

[Yes] Bought this over the book bag style, mainly for quick access. My first purchase from B&H and overall, this purchase exceeded my expectations. The size, color, feel is great. Thankfully, the internet provided all sorts of reviews that were helpful making this decision. This won’t be my last camera bag because there are limitations. But if you want to carry a camera and a couple lenses then this is perfect. It carries nice and the zippers are excellent!

[Yes] I was searching for a sling bag that I could squeeze my smaller gear into and this bag is perfect. In the main compartment I am able to fit my nikon d4, 24mm 1.4g and 85mm 1.4g. I took the rain sleeve out and placed a blower in the compartment instead. The tripod pouch is just about good enough to squeeze a tripod in if you configure the tripod to its narrowest shape (travel tripod). the front pouch is a little tight but I was able to fit a PD strap, some tools, a few ND filters, cards and an extra battery and door. If i was forced to say one gripe, i wish it had a little bit more padding but my setup probably exceeds the weight of most using this bag. I tried this and the peak design v2 sling bag. Tenbas extra front zipper compartment beats the peak design compartment easily in terms of access. Give this bag a try if you are checking out slings!

[Yes] I bought this specifically for my Nikon 200-500mm f5.6 VR to hike and look for wildlife opps. It is attached to a Nikon d610 and fits perfect in this sling with the lens shade reversed. It weighs a little over 9 pounds
including 2 extra batteries. There is still room for a small Tripod or Mono pod and snack bars and a bottle of water. Also room for your cell phone and keys. There is even room for either a small prime 50, 20,24mm lens at the top.The rain cover in the blue pouch helps to secure and protect the lens. Thanks B&H for suggesting this sling.

[Universal] I'm able to fit my Sony A7RII with 2x teleconverter and 100-400 mm lens with the lens hood in the open position and have a little room to spare. It is 13 inches long. I can easily remove the camera and lens and shoot without needing to assemble anything. I don't think there is currently a sling that can do that. Of course, I removed all of the dividers to do that. There wasn't enough room for a small cooler. So, I strapped one to the front.
