The small, black DPA 4066 Omnidirectional Headset Microphone Blackfrom DPA 4066 Omnidirectional Headset Microphone Blackis designed for theater and broadcast applications. The previous Legacy 4066 omnidirectional headset mic is known for working across a wide dynamic range as well as exhibiting low distortion across all SPLs. However, the Core 4066 microphone delivers a 14 dB increase in both THD (total harmonic distortion) and dynamic range, which improves clarity and openness more than the Legacy model.

The Core 4066 features a double vent protection system that works in tandem with a drop stopper and water-resistant materials in the mic, which help prevent damage from humidity. High- and soft-boost grids, along with five foam windscreens, are included.

[Plug-In Power] I am a pastor that wears glasses. This has been a real blessing. Prior to this purchase I literally taped the ear piece of my old head set to my glass earpiece to keep in place. Thank you for this design. Game changer. 5

[Omnidirectional] This is by far the cleanest sounding, extremely low noise omnidirectional mic I've owned. I absolutely love listening to the results of my recordings as I always get beautiful results. Also, they very require very little to no audio editing/treatment before I render my tracks. As of now I've owned the 2006c(stereo pair)for 4 months and I have no complaints thus far. 5
