[1.25 lb] Installed a pair of these to transmit to a projector up on the ceiling. POE made it all quick and painless. The unit at the projector is set to recieve from the other unit which can be plugged onto the network from any location around the stage, booth, or the rest of the facility for that matter. Easy for presenters to just plug on and present without fighting the technology.

[1.25 lb] We purchased the Ultra Stream for our small church to be able to stream our church services since our older members are staying home to avoid the risk of infection from Covid 19. We have been using it for 8 weeks streaming at 1080/25fps at 4 mbps. After initial configuration it starts a live stream to our Youtube page by just pressing the green button on the case. We first tried streaming via a PC but there was too much lag, crashed occasionally, was rather complicated, and it would have required a dedicated person to manage the stream. The Ultra Stream was the ideal solution. Relatively low cost, very simple to use, very stable, and no lag. We have connected a single video camera on a permanent mount via hdmi. One comment I would make is that the manual states that if you use a line input to the mic jack the volume will be very loud, and we have not found this to be the case. We are taking line output from out mixerboard directly into the Ultra Stream and the volume settings on the mixerboard and the Ultra Stream are at about midpoint, and the audio meter levels almost never go into the red. This means that after finding the right levels on our mixerboard, we no longer have to make any adjustments on the fly for the Ultra Stream, the audio technician adjusts the volume in the room and those levels are also correct for the Ultra Stream.

[1.25 lb] We replaced our old cable provider Nano box which was 480p with the VeeZee VZPro810 set-up was simple, transferring the settings from the nano to the VZ was straight forward.
Had to contact VeeZee once via Email and the customer service was spectacular, quick response time and a plethora of good information

[6 W (max)] Earlier firmware versions lacked features, but the last couple updates have added helpful functionality (eg. access to built-in local storage, RTSP stream, API, improved bitrates)


During the early days of the API the developer was very helpful and responsive to feedback.

We're now looking to use the device as part of our classroom lecture capture solution. Relative to other dedicated lecture capture appliances, this is significantly less expensive.

[6 W (max)] We use two of these for our digital signage around campus. These encoders have been up and running 24/7 for around 5 years and we've never had any issues. I've been really pleased with the continued support and firmware updates from ZeeVee as well as how easy it is to manage them from the web interface.

[6 W (max)] Almost any camcorder produced before 2018 doesn't have NDI capabilities but with the addition of the Birddog Mini, you can make a leap into the world of networked video without any heavy lifting.

Excellent choice for any church or school that needs to stream video but doesn't want to incur the cost of wiring for video. Any HDMI source can be plugged into the Mini and using a local network, connected to a computer with a streaming application such as vMix or OBS. No capture card necessary - it just works.

This is a device that needs to be in the toolbox of any serious videographer.

No longer are you stuck tapping your YoloBox for every little scene change or video roll. Overall the UI and features are really nicely done. It's intuitive and simple to use. The community forum on FB has been great for sharing tips and tricks. If you're hesitating, don't. This box is a game changer.

[1.25 lb] Bought this to provide better video stream than my JVC GY LS300's RTSP feed (it has a big delay and sketchy feed). This is magnificent uncompressed quality. Already have a NewTek connect Spark, but this makes production a breeze. Been using it with a Church client's live stream and convinced them to go with Bird Dog products. They're not gonna regret it.
