The black DPA 4266 Omnidirectional Flex Headset Mic, 90mm Boom, TA4Ffrom DPA 4266 Omnidirectional Flex Headset Mic, 90mm Boom, TA4Fcombines the sound of the 4066 omnidirectional capsule and Core amplifier in a lightweight and flexible two-ear headset. It can be used when talent needs to be mic'd quickly and easily, and it's lightweight, comfortable design means the person wearing the microphone will barely notice its presence, making it well suited to conference, speech, and active live-performance applications.

The omnidirectional polar-patterned Core 4266 offers a 14 dB decrease in total harmonic distortion and a 4 dB increase in dynamic range over the Legacy version. The mic is ergonomically designed to fit comfortably; it easily adjusts to fit any ear size and head shape, while at the same time, it mounts securely and is hardly visible. By rotating the boom and the ear hook, the microphone can be used on either the left or the right ear. In addition, the connector splits the cable from the microphone boom, allowing you to swap broken cables and/or wireless connectors quickly. The boom arm is also interchangeable and three windscreens are included.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How do you connect the Shure with a sennhesier pack?

A: Not easily. The Shure microphone is a TA4F/Mini XLR. Sennhesser uses a locking 3.5 mini connector on many of their wireless bodypack transmitters. We do not sell an adapter for this purpose.

Q: 2. Is there any solution to get it connected to a computer via USB or 3.5 mm jack?

A: To connect the Shure SM35 Performance Headset Condenser Microphone (TA4F) to a computer, you would need an audio interface such as B&H # FOSSOLO4G. Consumer audio interfaces do not have TA4 inputs, so you would also need the Shure RK100PK Preamplifier (B&H #SHRK100PK) to convert the microphone's output to XLR.

Q: 3. Can this mic boom be used with the Quikloc QL742 double their stand?

A: Bye..not compatible only square bracket

Q: 4. how do you use this mic when recording to say a tascam 70d???

A: The Shure WL93-6 features a 4 pin female connector (TA4F) designed for connection to a Shure wireless system transmitter only. This version will not connect to a recorder such as the DR-70D. The Shure SM93 is the same microphone and ships with an XLR preamp that can be powered by a recorder that offers XLR mic inputs such as the Tascam unit.

Q: 5. Do you have to connect the charging stand to the computer for connectivity? Or can this be connected via bluetooth?

A: The Jabra Evolve2 65 Stereo Wireless On-Ear Headset with Stand (Unified Communication, USB Type-C, Black) can be paired directly with the headset as a standalone device via Bluetooth.

Q: 6. im using this headset with a Clear Com AB-120 broadcast box and am having issues getting it to function correctly. when i press the talk button the microphone immediately works but only for a couple seconds and with deteriorating levels over those 2 seconds. like the plates charge and then discharge but thats it. Any thoughts on this would be a great help? Thank You.

A: I strongly suggest contacting Sennheiser and Clear Com for wiring schematics (if available) so you can troubleshoot your connections.

Q: 7. Is this compatible with the Shure wired SM93 Preamp?

A: Yes, the SM93 preamp (part number 90A4360) is compatible with this microphone for use in wired applications. Please note, however, that for wireless use, the preamp will not be needed as it will be powered by your bodypack transmitter.

Q: 8. Does this mic require phantom power?

A: The Shure TwinPlex TL48 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone requires only 5V, but to enable connection with an XLR input, the Shure RPM400TQG Wired TwinPlex Microphone Preamp is included, which does require phantom power to activate, but it does not allow phantom power to be passed through to the mic. The RPM400TQG converts phantom power to the proper amount of voltage that the mic requires.

Q: 9. Will this work with Shure ULX1 or QLX1?

A: Yes, the Shure SM35 Performance Headset Condenser Microphone (TA4F) will work with both the Shure ULX and QLX systems.

Q: 10. What is the length of the wire?

A: The wire is about 5 feet long.

[Black] I Bought this for our Churches Pastor's mic, it works as well as the Sure mic that cost $200.00. I liked it so much I just ordered two more.

[Black] Like others, I was skeptical, but I read the reviews from church and school A/V leaders who said this picks up the spoken word just as well as any other microphone, and they were correct. I help with the A/V department at my church, and we ordered a couple of these, and they work just fine. I dont know how long it will last, but at the price, it can be easily replaced many times over vs. the cost of an expensive headworn mic.

[5 to 50 V] This mic has a smaller cartridge than the single-hook Pyles, and a clearer and a little warmer sound. Pyle also upgraded the strain-relief in the connector. I just finished a student musical with 18 of these and no failures. If you cannot afford Countryman, these are a viable alternative.

[Black] We use these for the kids musicals and they work great. We've even used these for speakers and it works for most speakers. For most ears, it will be hard to tell the difference between these and some more expensive microphones.
