The black DPA 4288 Directional Flex Headset Mic, 100mm Boom, Blackfrom DPA 4288 Directional Flex Headset Mic, 100mm Boom, Blackcombines the sound of the 4088 directional capsule and Core amplifier in a lightweight and flexible two-ear headset. It can be used when miking needs to be fast and easy, and where the person wearing the microphone will barely feel the presence of it; such as in conference, speech, and active live performance applications.

The cardioid polar-patterned Core 4288 offers a 4 dB increase in dynamic range and a 14 dB decrease in THD (total harmonic distortion) over the Legacy version and is ergonomically designed to fit comfortably. It easily adjusts to fit any ear size and head shape, while at the same time, it mounts securely and is hardly visible. By rotating the boom and the ear hook, the microphone can be used on either the left or the right ear. In addition, the connector splits the cable from the microphone boom allowing you to swap broken cables and/or transmitter connectors quickly. Finally, it includes a makeup cover, four windscreens, and a pop screen.

Q: 1. I just bought a Letv Le1 pro x800, it's the second phone of the company. It works on EUI, an operative system whose base is Android. Does anyone see any reasons why the mic wouldn't be working on this phone??

A: Unfortunately without testing the units we would be unable to confirm, however from specs available, the unit features a TRRS jack for headphone/mic and should work properly.

Q: 2. The overview states that it will accommodate a wide range of smartphones. Can you be more specific on what phones the mic does and does not fit?

A: The VideoMic Me will work fine with any smartphone that has a TRRS jack on the edge of the device, as long as the camera is not blocked by the rear of the mic mount. This mount is flexible and will adjust to accommodate the thickness of most smartphones on the market.

Q: 3. I use a lens for my smartphone that covers the external microphone and muffles the audio, will the microphone cancel that microphone out and record the audio itself?

A: I have no problem with this mic on my Iphone7s. It gives great sound quality. Much better than your phonemic. you might want to try the moments' lens and cover for your phone. also, go to there website at it is great info on iPhone filming. They have a Youtube channel as well at shopmoment

Q: 4. Would the microphone work with an iPhone X?

A: Hello Melissa, You would want the VideoMic Me-L. Which would have the Lightening port input that you would need for the iPhone X.

Q: 5. Could the flex mount be removed to mount on cameras instead of phones? If not, would there be any downside to cutting off the flex mount so it could fit?

A: Hi Caleb, no the VideoMic Me won't connect direct to cameras as the connection is a TRRS plug designed for smart phones. The VideoMicro is essentially the same microphone but designed to sit on-camera. a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1183909-REG/rode_videomicro_compact_on_camera.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1183909-REG/rode_videomicro_compact_on_camera.html/a

Q: 6. I understand that the VideoMicro is designed for on camera use.But I would like to know whether or not the Rode VideoMic Me works with a Canon EOS M by using a TRRS to TRS cable. For example by using this?a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1048150-REG/rode_sc3_trrs_to_trs_adaptor.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1048150-REG/rode_sc3_trrs_to_trs_adaptor.html/a

A: you can buy one of those shorter trrs to trs cables and then when you attach it to an sl1 like i have, yo can make a custom grip to hold it... its a slimmer looking profile and with the extra space from the extension you can add a wind filter. its an overall slimmer profile and it works... you just need to figure out a way to make sure it holds and i just simply made a custom cnc piece for mine

Q: 7. I understand the VideoMic Me is designed for devices where the camera is on the opposite side from the audio input jack. I have a Galaxy S5 (which has them on the same side) - would it be possible to make it work if (hypothetically) I could find a short TRRS extension cable?

A: By using a cable you will still be feeding audio into your smartphone but keep in mind the TRRS jack on the VideoMic Me is also the physical connection point that holds the mic onto the phone.

Q: 8. Will the mic work with a Google Pixel phone(android OS)?

A: Yes, this will be compatible with the Google Pixel.

Q: 9. Can this device be use for infinix note 2 ?

A: I don't see why it wouldn't work with this model. If the Infinix note 2 has a TRRS connecter, this mic should plug in just like it does with an iPhone.

Q: 10. I did not realize that this microphone was designed to be used on a phone with the headphone jack on the opposite end of the phone from the camera. Mine has both on the same end. Is there another microphone or a work around that you recommend using in this situation?

A: This mic is designed to be plugged into the headphone jack of the phone on either side of the camera. The mic provides a headphone output on the back of the unit for quick playback after recording. There's no need to have the mic on a specific side of the phone.
