Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there any chance for this to work for recording calls from a computer? Via Google Voice or MS Teams for instance.

Q: 2. Can I use this for interviewing somebody on a cell phone in a broadcast studio?

A: Yes, the Daptor Two connects to a cell phone and allows you to send the output from a phone call to a recorder or mixer.

Q: 3. Can I attach broadcast headset to this and broadcast a sports event?

A: The JK Audio Daptor Two is an audio interface designed specifically for use with cell phones and cordless phones. We cannot verify if a broadcast headst will function properly.

Q: 4. Does this unit work with digital landlines? I bought a Rolls P19 Patch 11 and it does not work with my Shaw Cable landline.

A: I was going to answer this but B and H will not allow me to provide the address and phone number of the manufacturer so you're on your own, though luck.

Q: 5. Is this compatible with flip phones? If not, is there a compatible product here?

A: The CellTap 4C is compatible for use with cell phones that have a 3.5mm TRRS jack for connecting headphones with an inline microphone. Use a 3.5mm TRRS to 3.5mm TRRS cable to connect the phone's output to the "Phone" input on the CellTap and connect your headset to the CellTap's 3.5mm TRRS "Headset" jack. Use a 3.5mm TRS to 3.5mm TRS aux cable to connect the CellTap's "Record" output to your recording device or mixer.

Q: 6. How do you adjust the audio on this equipment? We are running through a sound board.

A: Page 02 of the following data sheet shows how you would interface the AutoHybrid between your land line phone and your audio console. https://www.jkaudio.com/downloads/datasheets/JK-Audio-AutoHybrid-Datasheet.pdf

Q: 7. I'm trying to connect two church campuses for a meeting via cell phone and am wondering if two of these JK units would be of help so that the two campuses could communicate through their PA systems via cellular network. The question I have is how do I adapt the 3way 3.5mm jack into an audio in and out cable for use with the JK unit?

A: On the JK unit, 1.Insert 1/4 inch 3 conductors jack to (wireless Phone Hand set Jack) on the unit and the other end with 4 conductors jack to your cellphone.2.Insert XLR female to (From Phone Mic Level) on the unit and the other end of XLR male to Mic input on your audio mixer.3.Insert XLR male to (Line Input) on the unit and the other end of XLR female to Main out or Phone on your audio mixer. Both sides will have to use microphones connected to their audio system to speak instead of your cell phone.

Q: 8. can i use this rig with an Apple iPhone XS to then connect a phone call through a mixing board for an audio podcast?

A: The JK Audio AutoHybrid is a telephone audio interface, specifically for an old-fashioned landline, and will not work with a smartphone. I would recommend the JK Audio Daptor Three Bluetooth Cell Phone Audio Interface, B&H # JKDAP3, which can be connected to your iPhone through a 3,5mm cable or Bluetooth wireless, and can be inputted into your mixer. There is also a LINE IN on the unit, so you can send the signal back to the caller. You would require a mixer with and AUX Out feature.

Q: 9. Can this also connect to phones via cable like the Daptor Two?

A: The JK Audio Daptor Three Bluetooth Cell Phone Audio Interface cannot make a wired connection to landline phones.

Q: 10. I have a multi line LG Ipecs phone system and want an interface for radio interviews. Is this the unit that will do it?

A: This JK system is designed for analog phones and cannot be used with IP phones such as your LG Ipecs system. This may work for you, but it is strongly suggested that uyou verify compatibility with Ipecs support prior to purchasing: https://a href= http://www.ipecs.com/ target= _blank www.ipecs.com//a --------------------------------------------------- JK Audio AutoHybrid IP2 VoIP Hybrid/AoIP Codec B&H # JKAUTOIP2

[0.85 lb] Had to get this to facilitate a conference call in a movie theater that didn't have a land line in the projection booth. Worked perfectly, even with the limited tech available at the theater. Good little gadget to have in the toolbox for when the occasion demands.

[1/4" Phone ] Product connected directly out of the box. No issues, no ground fault loops, no strangeness that I didn’t expect and had to work through.

Spectacular results for a simple phone call and delivery of a product.

Now, I only wish they made one with stereo audio out for use with a Macintosh desktop computer.

[1/4" Phone ] We have a radio studio and often record guest interviews via phone. We knew there had to be a way to eliminate the cost of LAN lines, but all our searches came up emtpy. Then, we found the DAPTOR 3 - and it was perfect. Simple. Reliable. Great sound. We now record in studio via cell phone, save hundreds on the cost of LAN lines!

[0.85 lb] Works Great - I should have bought this first, but thought the Daptor 3, which I never could get to work and had complex instructions, was a newer model. NOPE, The Daptor series all perform different functions. Daptor 2 is wire and forget...works perfect. Goop's (glued) mine to the side of my mixer.

[0.85 lb] Doing voice work from the home studio, I occasionally encounter clients who'd like to participate in the direction of a session, or at least hear playback on-the-fly. There are ways to accomplish this, but the end results always sound less-than-great, plus it's just plain awkward juggling headphones & other equipment trying to make it work. Bottom line, an actual phone interface is necessary. The issue I kept finding on all the models I'd checked out was that they required a land line, something I'd given up in favour of a cellphone nearly twenty years ago. The Daptor 2 is the perfect solution for my situation -- it's just a box; simply plug the appropriate line-in/line-out cables into the console, adjust the mix/minus settings on the board, attach the cell, and voila! Clients can now participate in the session & hear playback with ease, and I don't have to consider having a land line installed, so it's a win-win for everybody.

[1/4" Phone ] I use this to record phone ins from cell phones and cordless phones with 2.5mm headset ports. Even bought an adaptor and use it with an iphone. Great sound, rugged design, and very good buy. Only bad issue is the lack of mix and match for the cabling ins and outs; its either both xlr or both 1/4. Minor issue though. Great product.
