As the name "Switch" hints, Westcott Rapid Box Switch for Profoto Flash Headshas introduced a line of softboxes designed for the rapid setup and swapping out of different brands of strobes and speedlights in seconds. This Westcott Rapid Box Switch for Profoto Flash Headsis one of thirteen all-metal inserts available for different brands of flash heads. Instead of using a full dedicated speedring, this insert slides quickly into your Switch's rear tabs and secures in place with the Switch's thumb lock.

A: Hi Raquel, The Westcott FJ400 features a Bowens-S Mount. This is the correct adapter for mounting the Rapid Box Switch Softboxes to it.

A: This insert is strictly for the Rapid Box Switch series beauty dish and softboxes. It will not work on the older Westcott Rapid Box which had fixed rings based on the strobe brand.

[0.4 lb / 0.2 kg] I had a Westcott 26 Octa with the flash adapter. I popped that out and popped this in when I went to a full Bowens based flash system. Working great for me. 5

[0.4 lb / 0.2 kg] I purchased this with the hope that it would work with my older Joel Grimes Beauty Dish that had a permanent Bowens mount. I had recently upgraded to ProFoto from some older monolights. It worked! The fit is perfect. One simply has to remove four screws and nuts and pull the old one out and then place this one back. One should have a modicum of skill using small hand tools. It seems as if Westcott has replaced the permanent screw mount with a quick release mechanism now. Smart move, as many folk like me have more than one lighting brand. The item itself is sturdy and well built. Same can be said for the Westcott modifiers, so I'm glad I can continue to use this one. 5

[Profoto] Lost my instruction book. It took me a while to figure out the assembly onto the box. Two tabs are spring loaded. So simple. 5

[Profoto] If you use the Wescott Rapid Box Switch system this is essential. The ability to easily switch mounting configuration makes this a great advantage for those who use different lighting systems. 5

[0.55 lb] It is necessary to mount various Westcott softboxes. Get one for each. Attaching and removing adapters is a pain in the neck. Just leave them in place. 5
